United Thank Offering Reminder

If you were not in church last weekend or forgot your UTO offering, you may bring it this week. Envelopes are in the Gathering Hall. You might also pick up a blue box to use for next spring's in-gathering.

Are you being called to serve?

At the end of this year, three vestry members will be retiring from the Vestry. The work of the Vestry is done in partnership with the Rector. The Vestry and Rector are to
co-create a vision for St. Luke's that is a response to God's call and a plan to carry out that vision. The Vestry is a leadership team both in material matters of the Church and in spiritual matters. Are you being called to serve? For more information on the role of the Vestry, feel free to ask any Vestry member or Fr. Pierre-Henry Buisson, our Rector.

Each Vestry term is three (3) years in length. There will be three vacancies. Also being sought are candidates to serve as delegates to Diocesan Convention, which takes place each October in Phoenix. St. Luke's has five (5) lay delegates and, on occasion, has the need for an alternate delegate or two. The lay delegates serve for one (1) Diocesan Convention. These are elected positions within the parish.

The election takes place at our Annual Parish Meeting on Sunday, January 24, 2016.

The Don't Spend Christmas Alone Dinner is around the corner!

Our annual Don't Spend Christmas Alone Dinner, which is held on December 25, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m., here at St. Luke's is approaching! How will you be using your time and talents to make Christ known? Your choices are many: making cookies or fudge, delivering flyers, serving our dinner guests, setting up or cleaning up, working the food line, and many more! Sign-up sheets will be available in the Gathering Hall beginning November 21. More information to follow!

Christmas Quilt Drawing

Tickets are on sale now for a beautiful Christmas quilt made by parishioner Carol Sweeden. Tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5. The drawing will be on Sunday, December 20, between services with proceeds to benefit the annual Don't Spend Christmas Alone Dinner, which is held on Christmas Day at St. Luke's. The quilt is currently on display in the Gathering Hall and was made by parishioner Carol Sweeden.
