Are you up for a challenge?

Please read the note below from Fr. Pierre-Henry:

A generous and anonymous donor has proposed a challenge to the congregation, and, as your rector, I have accepted it. You certainly know that we are trying to raise $2,500 to rebuild a classroom at Amagoro Junior Academy in Kenya. If we are able to raise $2,500, our anonymous donor will give $3,500 more to build a second class! is not that amazing?  Thank you all for your outpouring generosity.

Informational packets on this project, including donation envelopes, can still be picked up in the Gathering Hall.

Warm for Winter

For many years, St. Luke's has supported Warm For Winter. This program provides warm coats or jackets, and other winter items, for low-income individuals. While children are a priority and new coats for younger school-age children would be a blessing, there are also other needs. Clean coats -  for any age  - that are in good condition will be accepted. Hats, gloves, socks, and blankets are also welcome. The deadline to donate is October 18 as distribution will be earlier this year. Look for a bin in the Parish Hall. You may email Barb Weeks at dbwa2az94@gmail.com with any questions.

Free Books

Last call to browse the book cart in the Parish Hall! Any books remaining on the cart after Sunday will be donated to the three local public libraries. Thanks for your support of our little library!

Almighty and everlasting God, you are always more ready to hear than we to pray, and to give more than we either desire or deserve: Pour upon us the abundance of your mercy, forgiving us those things of which our conscience is afraid, and giving us those good things for which we are not worthy to ask, except through the merits and mediation of Jesus Christ our Savior; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
