Pledge Update
So far, we have received 158 pledges for $394,652.00.
Thank you for your commitment to support the community and ministries of St Luke's Episcopal Church. Every pledge is important and enables St Luke's to plan programs and events that will change lives in Christ's name. Your support of this parish is a blessing!
We have not yet reached our goal, but we are on the way! What a wonderful message we would send to our community if we had 100 % of pledgers this year! St Luke's is our church, and we cannot expend nor strengthen our ministries without your support.
If you did not return your pledge card yet, it's not too late! Please, I invite you to prayerfully consider making a donation to St Luke's to support our ministries. Even the smallest amount is a great gift to our Lord and our ministries! So many parishioners shared with me the deep joy that comes with their giving. Through St Luke's lives have been changed; lives are changed because of the generosity of so many, because of your generosity.
If you prefer, this year you can pledge by email at pledge@slecp.orgIn this case, please tell us how much you wish to give for the year, the frequency and amount of your donations (by week, twice a month, etc.) your name and address, and if you would like envelopes.
May the Lord bless you and keep you,

Is God Calling You?
The Vestry of St. Luke's shares leadership with the Rector in creating a plan of action that will represent God's dream for our congregation. Being a Vestry member is a true exercise in collaboration as we discern what we believe God's dream is for St. Luke's. Three members of our current Vestry will be retiring at the end of the year and we are looking for people willing to be considered for a position during our annual election in January. In order to be considered, you must be confirmed or received into the Episcopal church, have been a member for 6 months, and be an active pledger. Please contact Lucy Kemper at if you  have questions and/or are interested in being of service.

St. Luke's Gift to the Community
December 25, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Much excitement is building up as there are four weeks before Don't Spend Christmas Alone -2016.  Volunteers continue to step forward; Jim Hardesty gladly offered to share his professional expertise as our event Photographer. We thank everyone that graciously donated Christmas cards! The Youth of the parish and Youth Minister worked diligently to set up fun tables with stickers, markers, glitter and lots and lots of cards. A special note, signature and a written prayer was included with each card. We had a good time, pizza was delicious and the donations of beverages from Deacon Kimball were well received, plus we got all cards ready! We warmly acknowledge all the adults that came on Nov. 5th, including our Rector, Pierre-Henry and Deacon Kimball A very special word of appreciation for our creative youth; you are an inspiration to us all!

Christmas Cards for the Forgotten Ones
The Season of Advent challenges us to prepare for the coming of our Lord. Remembering the marginalized, the needy, is definitely one way we can prepare and is something that may already be on your hearts. Many of us send out of Christmas cards to loved ones and acquaintances during this holiday season. Might you consider expanding your Christmas card list to include the ladies at Perryville Prison in Goodyear, AZ, who attend Episcopal worship services? Many of these women never receive a piece of mail during their incarceration. Holidays and birthdays come and go without any acknowledgement from the "outside world." They truly feel forgotten. The Sunshine Club was formed to meet this need. You can access a downloadable PDF address list for the ladies on the Diocesan Prison Ministry website under the  Sunshine Club menu - monthly birthdays or click this link:

For those who feel led to send a Christmas card to any of these women, please download the list. It is suggested that you use your church's address for the return address and simply sign the cards with a first name only or "Your family at (church name)." Those inmates who are able to afford to purchase stamps will reply and you can post their notes on a bulletin board at church.
