Calling Veterans and their families
Veterans' Day, November 11, is fast approaching. This year the veterans' celebration will be held on Sunday, November 12, 2017 after the 10 AM service. We would like to continue our previous years' practice of having a special coffee hour to honor our veterans. In order to honor our veterans, we are putting together a display recognizing current parishioner veterans and a list/display of remembrance for those no longer with us. Please email or drop off at the Church Office or in the Gathering Hall the following information: 1) name, 2) branch of service, 3) dates of service, and 4) a picture, preferably in uniform. For the spouses or children of deceased veterans, please do the same for your loved ones. We need this material as soon as possible so we can compile our honor display. We can copy your photos and return them to you!

Note: If you provided this material last year, there is no need to do it again. If you have questions or comments, please contact Tom and Susan Snodgrass at 928-308-2631.

Annual Reports Due November 30!
We are looking for annual reports in a few short weeks for the year 2017 from commissions, church ministries, and our outside groups to include in the report we'll distribute prior to this year's Annual Parish Meeting. We'd like the St. Luke's annual report to the parish to be more detailed than in years past! We'd like to include church ministries such as Don't Spend Christmas Alone Dinner, Cursillo, Daughters of the King, Aloha G.M.C. of St. Luke's (Men's Group), EfM, and others not mentioned here!

Will the heads of those groups please submit a brief report of the commission's or ministry's 2017 activities/work to  info@slecp.org no later than November 30, 2017?

Thank you for helping us give a clear picture of all that is happening at St. Luke's.
Also, please save the date for the Annual Parish Meeting! It will take place Sunday, January 21, 2018.

Journey to Generosity --
Reflection for November 5
Joining in God's 'ever-rollingness'

by The Rt. Rev. Rob Wright
There is a never-failing ever rolling-ness to God. That's what Amos said, "Let justice be like a rolling river and righteousness like a never-failing stream." (Amos 5:24)

Stewardship isn't first and foremost about money. Stewardship is first and foremost about the nature of God... never failing and ever rolling. This must be understood and lived out if you and I are to be called faithful stewards.
