It's that time of year, again!  Flowers are in bloom, trees are budding, and the weather is warming up.

We are asking for your assistance with our Spring Clean-up Day.  Please bring your cleaning supplies, outdoor gardening tools, paint brushes and supplies to help us welcome Spring at St. Luke's.

Help is needed cleaning the kitchen, tiding the flowerbeds, sanitizing nursery toys and doing a bit of painting.  Many hands make ane easy workload.  Mark your calendars for Saturday, April 7 from 9 to 12.

Many Thanks, Katie Staudt (Jr. Warden)
Blessed Lord, who caused all holy Scriptures to be written for our learning: Grant us so to hear them, read, mark, learn, and inwardly digest them, that we may embrace and ever hold fast the blessed hope of everlasting life, which you have given us in our Savior Jesus Christ; who lives and reigns with you and there Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.
Amen.   (BCP 236)

Inwardly digesting means returning to old passages of the Bible and seeing if they speak to us in new ways. Pick a favorite verse or verses.  Read that section again and again everyday, until you have learned it by heart.Soon you will have digested many bites of scripture, and they will empower and nourish you.

Need Yarn . . .

...and maybe a few volunteers to knit or crochet winter hats/scarves for November Outreach Collections.  Remember that yarn you bought to make a blanket and then talked yourself out of making and which now sits in your closet unused?  Or how about that extra skein, or leftovers from other projects?  The Outreach Committee will take any and all yarn spring cleaning efforts from now until April 29.  Look for the collection bag next to the Outreach table in the Gathering Hall.  Over 700 clients (half of which are children) are served at three local non-profits that distribute warm winter clothing.  If you would like knit or crochet items, using your favorite pattern and yarn from the collection bag, contact Carol Covert (928-515-1630).
