"The Big Bad Musical" at St. Luke's on May 6-7
The jury - you - must decide the outcome of the biggest trial ever in the fairy-tale world!  The notorious Big Bad Wolf is being slapped with a class-action lawsuit by storybooks of quirky characters who want to get even:  Little Red Riding Hood, her Grandmother, the Three Little Pigs and the Shepherd in charge of the Boy Who Cried Wolf.  With Sydney Grimm as the commentator on live Court TV, the two greatest legal minds in the Enchanted Forest - the Evil Stepmother and the Fairy Godmother - clash in a trial that will be remembered forever after.

Performances, by the Show Time Community Theatre and their cast of youth ages 10-18 years old, will be tonight at 7 p.m. and tomorrow, May 7, at 3:00 & 7:00  p.m. in the Parish Hall. The cost for adults is $10 and $5 for under 18 years old. Visit showtimetheater.org for more information.

Our very own parishioners, Cassidy and Shelby Blake, are two of the performers in "The Big Bad Musical." We hope you will be here!

Circling the Wagons and Rounding-up on June 11
There will be a wagon train (or conga line!) leaving from St. Luke's Saturday morning, June 11 at 6:00 a.m. headed south for Trinity Cathedral in Phoenix for Chris Christy's ordination to the Sacred Order of Deacons. Because parking at the cathedral is challenging at best, we need to leave early. This will allow us to get parked, have a cup of coffee, refresh ourselves and get seated before the service begins at 10:00 a.m.

We need drivers for at least 10 vehicles who know where the cathedral is located. So far, Rich and Brenda Schwartz, Ernie Howell, Larry Neece and Barbara Baker-Rosenberg are drivers. There will be sign-up sheets soon. If you would like to volunteer as one of our drivers, please contact Sara Williman at 928-443-5613 or Brenda Schwartz at 928-379-1441.

A Prayer for Mother's Day
Almighty God and Father we give you thanks for Mothers. We give you thanks for wrapping the loving arms of motherhood around your creating, nurturing and sustaining work in the world. We give you thanks for the wonder, grace and blessing that transform women to mothers and all the teeming life that is part of that wonder. We give you thanks for the fears and challenges of motherhood and for the courage, bravery and sacrifice it requires. We celebrate motherhood as you envision it as an expression of the most tender, unyielding, uncompromising, unconditional love within the capacity of humanity. Amen.
