The 79th General Convention of
The Episcopal Church

GC2018-logo

July 5th - 13th, 2018
Austin, Texas

As the delegates from all the dioceses are gathered in Austin, TX, from  July 5 to 13 , let us keep in our thoughts and prayer the 79th General Convention of our Church. This is always an exciting time for the church, even though time to time discussions and debates might be tough. So, let us pray that, with the words of our Presiding Bishop Michael Curry to the delegates, "
Jesus will be at the center of every moment of worship, in every discussion and debate, in our times of study, moments of discernment, times of refreshment -- May Christ be the center."

To know what is happening, you can visit the official website of the General Convention  https://www.generalconvention.org/ where you will have access to all the documents, motions, decisions, and so on. You can also download the free app Eventmobi for IOS and Android, using the code 79GC. You may also choose to use the following link    https://eventmobi.com/79gc it will open  the app as a website on any device.
Let us pray for the delegates to be opened to the motions of the Spirit!

In Christ's love,
Pierre-Henry+

Are you up for a Challenge?
St. Luke's Outreach Commission is offering to match funds for
school supplies dollar to dollar up to $1000.00.
Many students in Chino Valley, Prescott Valley and Prescott School Districts are unable to purchase school supplies that are required of them to start the year.
Fair Start is reorganizing their program and going out and buying school supplies
in bulk so more students are served. This is why the Outreach Commission is putting up the challenge for a monetary donation rather than asking people to fill backpacks.

Are you willing to take the challenge???
The donation box will be on the outreach table.
If you write a check to St. Luke's put Fair Start on the memo line.
Cash will be deposited into the Fair Start account.
