St. Luke's Weekly Epistle
Week of October 27
"On the great ship of Our Church, there are no passengers, only crew"

How would your life change if you practiced giving to God through the ministry of St. Luke's first each month, before giving to anything else?

If you want you can submit your pledge online go to
From Bishop Jennifer Reddall
"Calling for prayers from everyone. Nathan had a severe brain bleed Tueday afternoon. We got him to surgery quickly, and he is surrounded by loving family and friends, but he is going to be sedated for several days to let him heal before we will begin to know what his recovery will be like. Incredibly grateful for the surgeons, nurses, and staff at the hospital, who likely saved his life with their quick action. Now we wait."
Please lift up Nathan and his whole family in your prayers at this critical time. Cards and messages of support can be sent to Dio House (114 W. Roosevelt St., Phoenix, AZ 85003)
This Sunday October 27th at 11:15 am. Enjoy a delicious meal prepared by our best chefs and support our Youth Group for their next mission trip! $10 per person
The teens will also be selling homemade fall crafts!
Annual Reports Due November 15, 2019
We are looking for annual reports for the year 2019 from commissions, church ministries, and our outside groups to include in the report we'll distribute prior to this year's Annual Parish Meeting. We'd like the St. Luke's annual report to be more detailed than in years past! We'd like to include church ministries such as Don't Spend Christmas Alone Dinner, Cursillo, Daughters of the King, Aloha G.M.C. of St. Luke's (Men's Group), EfM, and others not mentioned here!
Will the heads of those groups please submit a brief report of the commission's or ministry's 2019 activities/work to  no later than November 15, 2019.
Thank you in helping us give a clearer picture of all that is happening at St. Luke's.
On Saturday, Nov 16 at 1:00 pm at the Prescott Public Library  "Keeping the Earth: Religious and Scientific Perspectives on the Environment". will be presented.   The presentation will focus on current issues impacted by climate change and link to our spiritual and human responsibilities in the face of this global crisis.  After watching the video (see youtube link below), Dr Roy May and Dr Stefan Sommer co-present and then facilitate an audience conversation.  Click here for link
