Have you ever considered running for vestry? Now is your chance! We are currently requesting names to be submitted for Vestry Nominations. You can email the names in to the church office or put them in the basket provided in the narthex. If you are submitting the names of others, please make sure you have their permission first.

The twelve members of the vestry are charged with the care of the property and business of the church. Working with the rector, they exercise leadership in the development of the congregation. Requirements are: having been confirmed, at least 16 years of age, a giver of record, and have been a member of St. Luke's for at least 6 months. There are 11 monthly meetings, generally on the third Tuesday of the month, and one vestry retreat. Please make sure you are able to attend these scheduled events.  Before nominating anyone to be on vestry, please make sure you have cleared this with that person first!

Central Convocation Epiphany Service

St. Mark's in Little Rock will host an Epiphany service for the Central Convocation on Jan. 6. Music will be provided by a choir drawn from the churches of the convocation, and the preacher will be Rev. Stephen Hancock from Second Presbyterian Church in Little Rock. The traditional entrance of the Three Kings forms the centerpiece of the service, and the candle-lighting reminds all to "go into the world in the power of the Spirit." Following the service all are invited to a champagne reception in the Parish Hall.

Dear Friends,
It is with great joy that I've accepted the call to St. Luke's as your new Organist & Choirmaster. Fr. Carey asked me if I might write a short bio about myself for this newsletter so that you might begin to get to know me.
My roots plant me firmly in Little Rock, where I grew up, and have spent most of my life. I started out life as a Southern Baptist, and discovered not just the organ, but a love of music. I've been taken by it ever since. I began my piano studies with Craig Chotard, and eventually transitioned to organ with him. Unbeknownst to neither Craig nor I at the time, during those grueling hour long lessons, he was fostering a devout young Episcopalian.
My work as a church musician has taken me as far as Boston and Ohio, and been as near to home as just a few blocks. I look forward to this new adventure with each of you. There are lots of exciting things, both musically and spiritually, on the horizon for St. Luke's! Lift up your hearts!
Gratefully yours,
