Ministry Opportunities
Mark your calendars for this year's Fall Festival! It is a great time to reconnect with everyone and start the school year off on a good foot! We'll worship together at 9:30, then head outside to enjoy all the activities! Bouncy house, games, food and so much more! Make sure to invite your neighbors and friends!

A new addition to this year's Fall Festival - Beer/Wine/Seltzer Pull! Take your chances, buy a ticket and choose your bag! But we need some donations. Can you spare a six pack of beer/seltzers, or a bottle of wine? We're looking for all kinds - cheap, expensive, IPA's, light and all flavors. If you can, please drop them off at church by September 8th.

We have a few magnets left! Make sure you have yours!
Registration for Sunday School and Confirmation is now open!
We know it's been a long year of things being different, and we're still in a phase of not knowing, but we are going forward with our plans with a large asterisk next to it. The Covid team will continue to monitor things and will keep everyone informed.

Are you interested in help with Sunday School - we NEED your help! It doesn't have to be a large commitment, but it's a great opportunity to try something different and get to know the littlest members of our community of faith.
Talk to Jenny if you are interested or have questions.
2021 St Mark Bazaar Update
We are so glad to be able to once again hold the Holiday Bazaar at St Mark on Nov. 13 after the pandemic cancellation last year. The coordinators this year will once again be Susan Koosmann, Nora Hemquist and Cindy Huseby. Consistent with our past schedule, letters were emailed to our loyal vendors last week and we are eagerly awaiting their responses. We are also very grateful for the long list of volunteers willing to help with the Bazaar this year. We will be contacting the volunteers in the weeks to come. If you wanted to help and haven’t yet signed up just let us know what you would like to do. More hands can always be used for signs, set up and clean up. If you should have any questions or concerns please address them directly to Susan, Nora or Cindy.
Livestream Update
If you would like to help offset the cost, please put ‘Sound System Move” on your donation or using the online donation line names Sound System Move. The remaining amount will come from the capital improvements fund.

If you have any questions, please let the council know.
Our lives are made up of small, daily decisions that eventually shape our character. Jesus highlights this principle in Luke 16:10, “Whoever is faithful in little things will be faithful in large ones.”
We are inviting each of you to participate in monthly experiment that will engage and encourage you to look at stewardship in a whole new way.

We are roughly half way through our yearly Stewardship Experiments and we couldn't be more excited to hear your reflections. Below you will find a recap of the experiments and a chance to fill in your thoughts and experiences for each one so far. If you missed a few months, just let us know, we have extras!

August’s experiment is ready for pick up! Rest is an act of trust and stewardship. We are encouraging you to take some time for Sabbath this month.
If you haven't picked up the last few months of experiments, they are available at church
COVID Delta Variant Update
The covid team met this last week due to the new information regarding the Delta variant that came out. The following changes will begin this Sunday, August 8th.
  • Masks - We are asking those who worship with us in person, wear a mask while in the building and observe social distancing.
  • Worship will be livestreamed and in-person at 9:30am with proper mask wearing, and social distancing measures implemented. We ask each family to sign in when they arrive at church so we can track if needed. Music will be offered in worship and will be provided by a few singers. Congregational singing is not permitted at this time.
  • Fellowship Hour - We invite you to fellowship hour outside in our parking lot. Treats and coffee will be offered.
Our hearts were heavy when making these decisions, and we know taking this step backwards is tough. We ask that you remain hopeful with us as we keep the safety of all of us as the priority. A copy of the full letter can be found here. If you have any questions or concerns about this we ask that you email our covid team at and someone from the team will address it.
This week we are praying for:

-Robin Sonnenberg, in her new diagnosis of colon cancer and perforated bowel.

We would like to give thanks to Rob Crowder for mowing the lawn this week! David Svardahl, you are up this week.
Worship Volunteers
The schedule for greeters, ushers, lectors, prayers and communion assistants is now out for the remainder of the year. You can find a copy of it here.

Are you interested in being added to this list? Send Jenny an email and she will make sure you get added into the rotation that starts in January 2022.

We are still in need of some volunteers to be Worship Hosts (someone, besides Pastor Mollie or Jenny, that makes sure all of our greeters, ushers, lectors, and reader of the prayers are in worship that morning). If you're interested, sign up here. Thanks!
