Ministry Opportunities
Again and Again
Lent start this coming Wednesday February 17th
In Lent, we’re reminded that, again and again, suffering and brokenness find us. We doubt again, we lament again, we mess up again. Again and again, the story of Jesus on the cross repeats. And yet, in the midst of the motion blur chaos of our lives, God offers a sacred refrain: “I choose you, I love you, I will lead you to repair.” Again and again, God breaks the cycle and offers us a new way forward.

Even though we are worshiping apart, we come to God again and again with our prayers, our dreams, our hopes, and our doubts. Even if from a distance, we will continue to be community to one another—especially when it’s hard—by choosing each other over and over again. We will continue to love God with the same persistence God chooses and claims us.

Starting next week, we will be posting more Lent resources on our website and Facebook page. A digital copy of the devotional will be available as well. Or you can pick one up at the Drive Thru Communion and Imposition of Ashes event on Ash Wednesday Feb. 17th from 3-6:30pm
Our lives are made up of small, daily decisions that eventually shape our character. Jesus highlights this principle in Luke 16:10, “Whoever is faithful in little things will be faithful in large ones.” 

At the annual meeting, you will be introduced to a new way of thinking about stewardship. We are inviting each of you to participate in monthly experiment that will engage you in a whole new way.


Each month, we will let you know when the next experiment will be ready for either pick up or delivery. For the March experiment, you can start picking those up the week of February 15th.

Join us as we begin to look at stewardship in our everyday lives and how we can live through that together.

We want to make sure we know your talents and what you love to do! Please take a few minutes to fill out the form - there are several pages and with the hopes of not missing anything. This info will be shared with our current ministry teams to ensure more involvement!
Confirmation during Lent
We will not formally meet during Lent, but the confirmands have a project of their own! We have asked them to choose 6 different topics (provided from our Lenten theme Again and Again) and reflect on them in a journal. They will also be connecting with some adults via mail through out Lent as well. Please keep our confirmands in your prayers as they journey through Lent.

Have You Thought About... is a time for all adults to join together (via zoom) to dig in and explore topics you may not have thought about before.

The topic is Called to love as God loves unconditionally. And we'll meet at 6:30pm on Zoom.
Covid-19 has presented another challenge to the social ministry team.  If we were together, you would hear the rattle of coins in cans or pans at St Mark. That money would be donated to the local food shelf to feed & nourish community members. 
How can you help with this THIS year?
Mail or bring cash or checks to church. Note “Souper Bowl” in the memo line or giving envelope. This coming Wednesday, Feb. 17th, you can drop off food donations at the Drive Thru communion from 3-6:30pm!
You can pick up your 2021 Offering Envelopes now at church!
The office will be open Monday and Tuesday this week if
you'd like to stop by and pick them up.
Or please let the office know if you'd us to deliver/mail them.

-Joanne and Dave Koch’s daughter, Heather, who has been going through aggressive chemo for breast cancer and has an upcoming surgery this week.
-Mashell Olsen, Sheri Hanson's friend who was recently diagnosed with a metastatic tumor.

-Shannon Cleary, Cheryl Collard's family friend
-Larry Riel - healing from a fall
-Leslie Pracht
-Dave Wilkenson, as he heals from recent knee surgery

-Karen Willy’s sister-in-law, Jeanette, with her new diagnosis of pancreatic cancer.
-Paul Thomascak and family, as he goes through chemo treatments.
