St. Mark is participating in a class with Luther Seminary called Innovation and Mission.
What is this you ask?
It's a class that is assigned a congregation and then work together on a specific topic! Our topic is Stewardship!

We need your help! We are encouraging everyone to participate in this quick survey on stewardship and core values. It's won't take long and we greatly appreciate your help!

Sunday School Lesson: Isaac's Blessings

Each week, we will post a few videos - story time, a song and the family activity page. If you haven't picked up your Sunday School bag yet, contact the office to set up a time to come and get it.

Spark Story Bible pages 42-45

Save the Date!
Next Sunday, October 25th, is Reformation Sunday!
Even though we won't physically be together on this day of celebration, don't forget to wear your red! We will also be celebrating the Affirmation of Baptism with two of our youth!
November 1st - All Saints Sunday AND Daylight Savings Time ends! Don't forget to fall back an hour and worship with us as we remember all the saints in our lives, specifically honoring those who have passed away this last year.

We've had a great history of supporting this ministry and this year we need your help even more! Due to the pandemic, Sponsor A Family had made changes to their program - Gift cards and donations! This will enable the families to purchase their own food and presents. The goal is to provide $80 for each person you can sponsor.

How can you do this?
This can be in cash, check, or gift cards. You can send your donations directly to SAF or to St Mark. All gifts are tax deductible and go directly to the needy families.

1) Make a CASH donation on their website sponsorafamilymn.org  via the “Donate”tab  by November 15. Or mail it to:
Sponsor A Family MN, P.O. Box 582793, Minneapolis, MN 55458-2793

2) Make a donation of GIFT CARDS and mail to the above PO Box. Target, WalMart, Aldi, and Cub cards will provide maximum value and flexibility in shopping options.

If you prefer to donate through St Mark, your donation will appear on your annual giving statement. Funds and gift cards must be received @ St Mark by November 9.

1)Make a CASH donation via check and mail to St Mark with “Sponsor A Family” in the memo line. Or donate electronically here under the Sponsor a Family spot.

2) Purchase gift cards (Target, Walmart, Aldi or Cub), write $ value on card, place in envelope with your name, place envelope in lock box at church entrance, or mail to church.

If you have questions about this new process, contact Don or Anita Pouchnik 763-434-7051 or dollyspats@comcast.net. Thank you for helping support this charity.
Worship Volunteers Are Needed!
We need your help! Reading of the prayers and Bible stories are needed for October and November! We encourage everyone to sign up to help lead worship. Sign up here for opportunities throughout the fall!
We will send you a digital copy of the readings or prayers and ask you to record them using your phone or laptop and send them to Jenny to add to worship.

Are you a financial wizard?
St. Mark is looking for more people to join the finance team! They meet once a month and are a vital part to keeping our congregation going! No experience is necessary, they are just looking for people who'd like to get more involved with the congregation. Email Jenny (office@stmarkcp.org) if you are interested or have more questions.
