GREAT DECISIONS: Week 3 - State of the state Department and Diplomacy.  On Monday, February 11, 2019, from 7:00-8:30 pm. 
"During the Trump administration, the usual ways of conducting diplomacy have been upended. Many positions in the State Department have never been filled, and meetings with foreign leaders such as Kim Jong-un and Vladimir Putin have been undertaken with little advance planning. What effect are these changes having now, and how will they affect ongoing relationships between the United States and its allies and adversaries?" JOIN US ON FEBRUARY 16 th  FOR A FREE EVENT:    On Saturday evening as part of our 5:00 p.m. worship, the Youth Group from First Presbyterian Church, Caldwell, NJ, (known as Westminster Choir) will perform  Urinetown, a DARK musical satire of the legal system, social irresponsibility, populism, bureaucracy, corporate mismanagement, municipal politic and musical theatre itself.    Then on Sunday, February 17 th the teens will provide music as part of our worship service. HUTCHINS CONSORT- Bach & Rock:   Concert Sunday, February 17 @ 3:00 p.m. The Hutchins Consort plays on the eight scaled violins designed and built by luthier  Dr. Carleen Hutchins. Pianist Maksim Velichkin rejoins the Consort for a new installment of their popular Bach and Rock series, this time for Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No. 5, juxtaposed with rock classics by the Beatles, Led Zeppelin and Yes. WHALE WATCHING CRUISE   for members and friends of St. Mark will be on Saturday morning, Feb. 23rd. Arranged by Tim Sullivan, St. Mark member, who volunteers at the Ocean Institute in Dana Point. MISSION TRIP TO NICARAGUA: A delegation is being assembled for a mission trip to Nicaragua, June 15-22, 2019, in conjunction with The Church of the Messiah in Santa Ana and St. Wilfrid’s in Fountain Valley. The proposed purpose of the mission is to help AMOS with construction on their campus, work with health teaching and home visits for the surrounding community of Nejapa, provide activities for the children and whatever else they determine we can do to help. ONLINE DIRECTORY:  Did you know that St. Mark has an online directory? It is easy to use and secure. Only members or approved visitors have access and you can only use it if you  “opt in” .  To learn more about the directory or how to access it go to our website and click on the Announcement tab.  There is even a short video to watch that will walk you through the process. INTRODUCING THE  ST. MARK COMMUNITY PRESCHOOL! The preschool has 6 classrooms and enrolls children ages 2.5-5 years old and potty trained. Our developmental program provides curriculum that nurtures physical, emotional, social, intellectual and spiritual growth.
