TAKE ME OUT TO THE BALL GAME:
St. Mark day at the ballpark has been set. It will be a 1:00 PM game on May 26 with the Texas Rangers. We will tailgate before the game by the Big
sign in the parking lot. Tickets are $25 and include food and beverages at the tailgate. Sign up on the patio Sunday or contact Dan Ardell at
to save your seat before we sell out!
GET ON THE BUS:
If you took a sticky note please don't forget to bring your items this Sunday, May 12 in order for us to organize them and prepare the bags for the children. Thank you for your support!
Our next volleyball event will be on Saturday, May 11th at 8:30am at Huntington Beach State Park (PCH and Magnolia)! We are meeting extra early at 8:30am, because clubs play that day. If no courts are available, then those who want to will go eat breakfast as a group!
May 19 at 11:00 am. Michael Gass, Ph.D., licensed psychologist, an elder of St. Mark and Health Ministries Commission will speak about the healthy relationship and dysfunctional relationship. This will include the characteristics and dynamics of healthy and dysfunctional relationships, past and present experiences and factors contributing to the type of relationship, communication, problem solving skills, anger management and codependency.
Childcare is provided for this event.
CHILDREN'S MINISTRY NEEDS YOUR HELP:
This year, as part of the Children's Ministry program, our children put together toiletry bags with welcome notes for the Family Promise families. We will assemble bags again in June for Family Promise families who will be here from June 16 to June 30. The bags include a wash cloth, comb, toothpaste, toothbrush, shampoo, conditioner, lotion and a note of welcome from the children. If you have any of these items you wish to donate, please bring them Sunday and leave in the basket on the Welcome Cart. Thank you from the St. Mark children.
MEMBERS OF ST. MARK HAVE BEEN INVITED

OPPORTUNITY TO SUPPORT MOTHERS EVERYWHERE:
As people of faith, we are called to stand with people who live with hunger and poverty by speaking out in support of the Global Nutrition Resolution (H. Res. 189). The resolution recognizes the importance of continued U.S. leadership to accelerate global progress against maternal and child malnutrition. Remembering our own mothers and mother figures, we urge you to support mothers everywhere who care for children by cosponsoring and passing this resolution. Click on this link to learn more and take action.
DID YOU KNOW?
St. Mark will soon be installing a video projection system in our sanctuary. If you are someone who would be interested in being trained to run the system, either on Sundays or for special occasions, please contact the church office at
