St. Mark's Weekly E-blast

We gather, connect, and serve so all may experience the love of Christ.

Exciting Changes Coming This Spring!

I know, I know—change can be exhausting, and sometimes we just want things to stay the same. But we believe these two exciting updates will energize our church family and help us reach more people with the love of Christ!

A New Home for Our Sanctuary Campus

At our Church Conference on February 13, our gathered community unanimously voted to direct the Trustees to enter a rental agreement with the Marana School District. This means that, starting April 6, our Sanctuary Campus will move to Coyote Trails Elementary School!

We will spread the word to the community about our new home and invite them to join us for worship beginning April 13, Palm Sunday. This move offers us better visibility, greater potential for growth, a more affordable cost, and a flexible contract—all of which set us up for a strong future.

Of course, a move like this brings plenty of logistical challenges and requires many hands to make it happen! We need:

✅ Sunday School teachers for children

✅ Greeters to welcome visitors

✅ Coffee & cookie hosts to create a warm atmosphere

✅ Set-up & tear-down helpers to prepare our worship space

If you’d like to help or be part of the decision-making process, please connect with Pastor Tu’ulauena.

Weekly Modern Worship at Magee Campus!

We’re also thrilled to announce that our Magee Campus will launch a weekly modern worship service! Our praise team from the Sanctuary Campus will lead worship at 11:30 am every week at Magee starting March 2, for a two-month trial run. In April, we will evaluate whether to continue this service through the summer.

This is an exciting opportunity, and we need your help to make it a success! We’re looking for:

🎸 Musicians & singers (especially drummers and vocalists!) – Contact Erin Dadonna to try out.

🙌 Ushers, greeters, and other volunteers – Speak with Pastor Lynn if you're interested.

Join Us in This Season of Growth

They say the only constant in life is change. While we never seek change just for the sake of it, we are deeply committed to  reaching more people with the good news of Jesus Christ and inviting them to experience God’s love as they gather, connect, and serve with us.

If these changes don’t directly impact you, we ask for your prayers and encouragement. We also invite you to visit worship at either campus in the coming weeks to show your support—and to extend an invitation to someone who might be searching for a faith community.

This is an exciting time for our church. Let’s embrace it together!

See you soon,

Pastor Lynn

Celebrating Black History at St. Mark’s.

We have many wonderful Black songs. But do you know the difference between a Gospel song and a Spiritual? A Gospel song is typically an upbeat Christian song about the love of God and Jesus. Where as a Spiritual is an emotional song about the trials and tribulations of enslavement but can include hope. - Church and Society

Mark your calendars for these upcoming events:

-   February 19th, 5:30PM - Messy Church with crafts from many cultures including Black History, Magee Fellowship Hall

-   February 21st, 9AM - Open Minds Book group - A Home Place, Memoirs of a Colored Man’s Love Affair with Nature.

-   February 23rd - Black History Sunday worship with special music, soul food cupcakes, and more at both campuses.
