Help us bless Nash and Estes Elementary students again this year with donations of school supplies. Look for donation tubs at both campuses every Sunday in July. Look in the June & July Messengers for a complete list of requests, and how to make a monetary donation. We still need black Expo dry erase markers, Kleenex, and Chlorox wipes. Thank you!

July is Peanut Butter Party month at the ICS Foodbank.
Bring jars on Sundays or to the North parking lot on Saturdays, 10:00—11:00 AM. St. Mark’s goal is to win the fourth straight trophy for the most jars. Additionally, please bring non-perishable food items (soup, cereal, pasta & sauce). Give generously, the number of families needing food assistance is increasing while the amount of contributions is hardly keeping up with the demand.

Disability Awareness -
Parenting a disabled child requires walking a fine line. You want to help them while you want them to be independent. Not only do they need skills to adapt to their disability, but they need special relationship skills to make friends, they need strategies to react to curious or hurtful comments. They need to learn to advocate for themselves when you are not there. As a parent, your awareness increases and your view of the world becomes a little bigger. - Joylee Gathings

Native youth around the country are attending indigenous culture summer camps. From Arizona to Alaska, New York to California youth are connecting with their culture and their ancestors’ way of life. An O’odham Camp received one of two Arizona grants this year from the Association of American Indian Affairs. https://www.indian-affairs.org/summercamps.html
