You are invited to bring your beloved animal - pet, stuffed animal, or photo – to be blessed. We will also take time to pray for those pets who have gone before us and for those who mourn. Please plan to come and take part.

Noisy Collection:   The children will be collecting coins (and bills) during the children’s message on Sunday, October 13 th  at the 10:30 a.m. service as a way to raise funds for the North Shore CROP Walk that takes place a week later. Please bring your coins to church so that the children can have fun making a joyful noise supporting a wonderful cause. Thank you.
One Parish, One Book:  Join Pastor Debra every other Sunday beginning October 27 for conversation and activities based on a chapter of  The New Parish: How Neighborhood Churches are Transforming Mission, Discipleship and Community.  You can pick up a copy of the book from Amazon or – better yet - order it from a local bookseller. We’ll begin with the Introduction and Chapter 1 on October 27. Not a fan of reading? That’s o.k., we’ll begin each session with a brief synopsis so that everyone can participate!

Music Artist, October 13, 2019: Guest Artist, Rachel Ray Miller, Mezzo-Soprano, will be joining us in the 10:30 a.m. service on October 13, 2019. Rachel recently finished a Masters of Music from Illinois State University in Vocal Performance. She is a gifted vocalist that can fill any space with a rich and beautiful sound. She will be singing during the prelude and postlude, as well as singing throughout the service and being the soloist on the choral anthem.

All Y’all Choir, October 27, 2019: Would you love to sing in the choir, but just can’t commit to the weekly rehearsals? Well, you are in luck! Join us on October 27, 2019 at 9:15am for a special choir rehearsal that all are welcome to join. Whether you can read music or not, or don’t think you have an amazing voice—come sing with us! We will be singing Dent Davidson’s “Deep Peace” as well as welcoming a guest clarinetist, Emily Manheimer. Emily will also be playing special music throughout the service including the prelude and postlude. Questions? Email Westley at

The Gathering: Children ages 3 through Grade 5 are invited Sunday morning from 9:55 a.m. – 10:20 a.m. for this Christian Formation offering. We gather in the classroom on the main floor of the parish house for a time of prayer and reflection, we will join the choir for 5 – 10 minutes to learn the Psalm for the day which the children will lead during worship, and we end our time together by prayerfully lighting the candles in the sanctuary and preparing for worship. All children are invited to be a part of the procession into the church that opens our worship before joining their families for worship.

Altar Flowers: If you would like to remember a loved one by making a donation for flowers on a Sunday morning, add your name to the sign up sheet in the parlor. The suggested donation is $50. There are several dates throughout the summer still available!

Coffee Hour Hosts:  Did you know that if every household at St. Mark’s hosted just one coffee hour, we could cover every Sunday of the year! So, a sign-up sheet is available in the parlor and we encourage you to choose a Sunday. Vestry members, Pastor Debra, and others who have hosted in the past are always happy to assist you! Not at the church but want to sign up? Send an email to Timothy at  and let him know your date! Thank you everyone!
