The eLion
All of us at St. Mark’s share a commitment to our faith and to our community, and we welcome visitors regardless of religious background, race, sexual orientation, or gender identity. Everyone is welcome here.
St. Mark’s Goes to the Lakefront – along with St. Andrew Pentecost, St. Luke’s and St. Matthew’s Episcopal Churches - on Sunday, July 14 for a 10 a.m. worship service. (Location: Hamilton St. and the Lakefront!)

That day the open plate offering will be designated for Interfaith Action of Evanston’s Overnight Shelter. The Overnight Shelter is open whenever the temperature is at or below 20 degrees. Five churches and one Synagogue provide beds for a maximum of 35 persons on a 3 week rotation. Voluntary contributions keep the Shelter operating.

In addition, there will be a time of fellowship after the service. St. Mark’s has been designated as the provider of beverages! There is a sign-up sheet in the Parlor to indicate if you are willing to bring 1 gallon of lemonade (or similar) and/or 1 “box” of coffee. Cups will be provided by another congregation. You can also sign-up by emailing office@stmarksevanston.org and letting Timothy know what you will be bringing.

On behalf of the Treasurer’s Office and the Stewardship Team, we are all hoping you have plans for a joyous summer! Before you head out of town, we’d love if you can remember to keep your pledge up to date at St. Mark’s. Cash flow slows down in the summer so it is helpful for everyone to help out! Payments can be placed in offering plates on Sunday mornings, mailed to the church, or made by PayPal (go to  http://www.stmarksevanston.org  and click on the Donate button in the right hand column). We want it to be easy for you! We will send out mid-year statements in early July.
