The eLion
All of us at St. Mark’s share a commitment to our faith and to our community, and we welcome visitors regardless of religious background, race, sexual orientation, or gender identity. Everyone is welcome here.

This is the last eLion of 2019!
The next edition will be published on Friday, January 10, 2020.
Sunday Potluck & Greening of the Sanctuary
This Sunday there will be a Potluck and Greening of the Sanctuary immediately after Lessons & Carols. What to bring? Things that don’t need to be heated or that come in a crock pot – sandwiches, salads, soups - already ready ready to serve. You might find it easier to think of it is as a glorified coffee hour. It will take place in the parlor and/or Bethlehem Chapel while we are decorating the church!

Staying Connected
“Do-It-Yourself” Christmas Pageant! A what?! That’s right, at 4 p.m. on Christmas Eve, all are invited to gather for worship BUT dressed as your favorite pageant character – Mary, Joseph, shepherd, sheep, or angel (note: no Wise Ones – they don’t show up until January 6th). As we worship we will build the scene. It will be a glorious celebration of that first Christmas so many years ago. Want to help with set design? Please contact Pastor Debra at rector@stmarksevanston.org or Liz McElhatton at mcelhattonliz@gmail.com

Vestry: Did you know that the most recent Vestry Meeting minutes are always posted on the bulletin board outside of the volunteer office? Now they can also be viewed online by clicking   this link!
