Hymn Sing Sunday

Do you have a favorite hymn? On Sunday, July 12, you can help choose the music for worship! Pick up a hymn card as you come in, write down your favorite hymn, and give the card to an usher. If your card is chosen, the whole congregation will sing your hymn.

Week 11 ~ July 5, 2026 ~ Mind (διάνοια – Dianoia) 

Bringing Order to Chaos: As shared in week 7, the Hebrew concept of the mind is captured within heart—Levav )ב ָבֵל In Greek, however, heart and mind are separate concepts. To address this, when Jewish scholars translated the Hebrew Scriptures into the Greek Septuagint a couple centuries before Jesus ’ time, they added the word Dianoia (διάνοια) to maintain the original meaning. Thus, when we read about Jesus quoting the Shema in the New Testament, He includes “mind”. continue reading

Join us Tuesday evenings through July 28, from 6:00–7:30 p.m. for somatic yin yoga and spiritual practices. Your generous gifts of time and resources help keep the Move-In Ministry serving young people who are aging out of the foster care system. Volunteers are always needed to help set up an apartment. You can support the Upbring - Move-In Ministry by donating small apartment appropriate furniture and furnishings, specifically, lamps, small kitchen table and chairs and side tables, chairs, small dressers, 2 seat couches. Move-In Ministry

After finishing move-in #118 last week, the Move-In Ministry is requesting donations of small apartment appropriate furniture and furnishings. This ministry provides a resident -ready apartment for young people aging out of the foster care system. Contact Susan Jensen for more information.

Substitutes are needed for all shifts. Drivers do not need special driver's license.
