Summer Schedule

Starting on June 2nd there will be only one Mass on Sundays at 10:00 a.m. There will be no incense on these Sundays (except for June 2nd).

Outreach



• Once again the Outreach Committee is volunteering at the food bank. The dates for this year are May 18th, August 3rd, and the 17th. A sign-up sheet for May is in the Narthex. A sign-up sheet for the August dates will be up this Sunday. The hours for volunteering are from 9:30 am to approximately noon. If you have any questions, please contact Anne Marie Verdiramo.

• The Food Bank is in great need of food items, paper goods, and toiletries for our neighbors in Somerset County. Cash and checks are also greatly appreciated. There’s always a container on the stairs leading up to the choir loft. Any questions, please contact Kathy Shanklin.

Sight and Sound Theatre Trip Opportunity

Juanita Hawkins has planned a trip to the Sight and Sound Theatre in October. Please email the church office if you are interested, and they will send you a form to fill out. The deadline is August 15th to sign up.

Celebrating You

Are you celebrating a day or special event in your life? Maybe a birthday, anniversary, birth of a child or grandchild, or new job? Is one of your children graduating from high school or college? We would love to share your special news with the parish. Send us your information, and we'll place it here so we can celebrate with you!

Memorial Day Sunday

Flowers



St. Martin’s sometimes has flowers left over after special services (Easter, Christmas, memorial services, weddings). Congregants take some of the flowers but does anyone have ideas about specific places to donate these flowers/plants? Many nursing homes and assisted living facilities no longer accept flower donations. Please let Fr. Rob, the Altar Guild, or Kathy Shanklin know. Thank you.

Opportunities at St. Martin's

SCHOOL BOARD PRESIDENT

The school board president serves on the vestry as a liaison between the school and the parish. It is a three-year term and one must be a baptized member in good standing to serve. The school board works with the rector to oversee the school's finances and to ensure best practices are in place to help the school carry out its mission. The new term begins in February 2024.

Part-Time Aftercare Worker Needed

Our school is looking for a part-time teacher to work in our aftercare infant room, Monday-Friday, 2:30 p.m. - 6 p.m. The teacher would be responsible for a maximum of 4 infants (all over 6 months old). Montessori training is not necessary. Ideal for college students or retired people looking for a part-time job.

Full-Time Floater Needed

Our school is looking for a full-time floater. Montessori training is desired, but not required. The position includes a diocesan pension and a monthly medical insurance stipend.
