A Message from Mr. Mihalyo

Dear StMM Families,

The hum of end-of-year activities can be heard all over campus now! This is an exciting week for our Drama Club, as Mrs. Taylor and her drama students put the finishing touches on their production of “Willy Wonka, Jr.” Please come out and enjoy this wonderful musical experience that our Monarchs have been working so hard to produce! Information is listed below on how to purchase tickets. I look forward to seeing you at a performance on Friday or Saturday evening!

Our first round of second graders received their First Holy Communion last Saturday! Thank you for praying for these students as they prepared for this special day. Our final group of second graders will receive their sacrament this Saturday at either 9AM or 11AM at the church. Your continued prayers are much appreciated!

Our 8th grade students will have a big week next week: both a Spirit Week and final exams! Please refer to your 8th grade student’s teacher newsletter for information on both events.

Congratulations to the baseball team for advancing to the championship game this week at Cardinal Gibbons High School. The team will play tomorrow with the chance to bring home the championship! Good luck to the team as they represent StMM!

Next week is Food Allergy Awareness Week! Our Monarchs will be learning how to be a P.A.L. and support students with food allergies. Classroom-based activities will help students learn more about this important topic, and our Monarchs can take pride in keeping our tree nut-free campus safe for everyone!

The diocese asked me to share this news regarding the current feasibility study for a new Catholic high school in the Diocese of Raleigh.

Finally, please remind your students to check the Lost and Found areas both inside and outside the Cafeteria for missing sweatshirts, water bottles and uniform items.

As the countdown to the end of the school year begins, thank you for continuing to guide and support your students through these last days of classes. The school year has flown by, and we are so grateful for your continued support!

St. Mary Magdalene, pray for us.

John Mihalyo, Principal
