Frassati Great Outdoors Virtual FUN-draiser has Begun!
There's Still Time to Partake in the Auction!!
The 2021 Spring FUN-draiser Virtual Auction at Frassati Catholic Academy, began April 28 and goes through the 30! Have you registered for your bid number yet? If not, there's still time, please do so now by visiting: https://fca.cbo.io/

Each year, we identify a specific area of need, known as our annual Fund-a-Need project, which supports an aspect of our STREAM (science, technology, religion, engineering, arts, and mathematics) curriculum. Our 2021 Fund-a-Need will raise funds specific to our science curriculum, impacting the learning experience in every classroom in our great school. In the auction preview site, you will see several auction items that you can “purchase” to directly support a teacher’s science curriculum.

Please join us! Bidding will close at 9:00 PM on Friday, April 30, so be sure to claim your items before the virtual event closes.
Chapel of the Beatitudes
Last year’s Fund-a-Need was the Chapel of the Beatitudes, a joint project between St. Mary of the Lake and Frassati. As I mentioned last week, Archbishop Hebda dedicated the chapel on April 21, 2021. Parishioners have asked about seeing the new chapel, which is located on the second floor of the Parish Life Center. We will schedule opportunities to visit the new chapel once school finishes in early June.
May – The Month of Mary and the Month of the Rosary
Each year, the Church highlights Mary and the Rosary during the month of May. This year, Pope Francis is asking Catholics to pray the rosary for the end of the pandemic. http://www.pcpne.va/content/pcpne/en/news/2021-0423.html. For those unfamiliar with praying the rosary or for those looking for new reflections on the mysteries of the rosary, I invite you to visit the Word on Fire website and Bishop Robert Barron https://www.wordonfire.org/rosary.
Peace, Fr. Talbot

Thanks to a generous donation, outdoor drive-up confessions will continue this winter with Fr. Talbot sheltered in a fish house, a.k.a. “The House of Mercy.”

Drive up and stop alongside the fish house and Fr. Talbot will hear your confession through the window.

Learn how to use the House of Mercy in this YouTube video.

Outdoor Volunteer Thank You!
Thank you so much to those who volunteered to clean-up and prep all the shrub areas at the church! Your work is greatly appreciated.
Senior Mass and Lunch
The Senior Mass and Lunch is Thursday, May 13, at 11:00 AM. This year’s Mass will be in the church and you may attend Mass in the church or stay in your car in the parking lot and listen on your radio. Communion will be brought to your car. Box lunches will be distributed after Mass. RSVP is not required for this Senior programming event.
Memorial Day Mass at the Cemetery
After cancelling this event last year due to Covid, we are going to bring back the outdoor Mass at the cemetery in 2021! The Mass will be on Monday, May 31 at 9:00 AM. Our cemetery is located at 1625 Stillwater Street in White Bear Township. Please bring a lawn chair. The Mass takes place in the north end of the cemetery. In that area, there is a road around the big central area. There is plenty of room to park there. Otherwise, there is limited parking in the rest of the cemetery and parking on the street is the alternative.

The protocol for an outdoor event in Minnesota is that the workers/volunteers are required to wear masks. Participants are not required to wear masks if they stay six feet from others. If you want to receive communion, you will have to put on/wear a mask for the Eucharistic minister to approach you. Other things that are different from past Masses at the cemetery are the following: no worship aids, no passing the basket (although there will be a way to donate) and no treats after Mass this year. Let’s hope it is a beautiful day! As a back-up, the location in case of rain is the church.

Consider Remote Giving to Support Our Parish
There are currently three ways to give electronically:
  1. Monthly amount transferred from your bank account (click on the DONATE button on our website home page to find a form). It would be better to mail the form to us, since you need to include a voided check.
  2. Weekly, monthly, or one-time checks sent by your bank or other financial service organization (contact your bank to set up a plan that works for you). It is helpful to have your envelope number on the check your bank sends to us.
  3. Weekly, monthly, or one-time gifts charged to your credit card (click on the DONATE button on our website home page to set up your gift).

There is a way to give remotely that is not “high tech”: Simply mail us your check. Our address:
4690 Bald Eagle Avenue, White Bear Lake, 55110.

Thank you so much for your support in this difficult time.
Reduce, reuse, recycle are habits our Frassati Falcons practice year-round! And for Earth Day, the students make a point of it to elevate the ways they are caring for our one beautiful planet. From the whale the middle school students create out of plastic bags (inspired by the story of Jonah and the whale from the book of Jonah), to the recycled items that fill the floor as kindergarten students select their materials for a special art project, the students are always looking for new ways to reduce their waste.
