Recreation & Parks Prepares for 2021 Youth Basketball Leagues
St. Mary's County Recreation & Parks Youth Basketball program returns!
We are excited to embark on the return of youth basketball. Registration opens on Monday, October 4. Online registration is available through November 3 or until space fills. Don't delay - spots will fill before the deadline.
Teams are led by NYSCA Certified Coaches. All coaches are required to complete background checks.
Tryouts will be held at each middle school October 4-12.Interested participants must sign up for tryouts in advance. Online sign up is available now. There is no fee to tryout.
Registration fees will be due upon selection of player to a team.
Practices will not begin until all players are registered.

Recreation & Parks Prepares for 2021 Basketball & Cheer Tryouts
To begin the process, players must pre-register for tryouts and select the school for which they attend. If a player is then selected for a team, registration information will be sent with instructions.
The Select Basketball program provides an opportunity to develop self-confidence and to nurture talents. Practices are held twice a week at each middle school and games are played each Sunday starting in December at Chopticon High School.

All parents are encouraged to review the Parent Code of Conduct. Youth sports is an opportunity for positive youth development in a positive environment. It is the responsibility of coaches, players, staff and spectators to maintain this excellence.
