REMINDER: Tomorrow is Mass day. Students should be in Mass day uniforms. With a shortened week, we often forget.
Hurricane Harvey Relief Effort
St. Mary's Catholic School will begin collecting items to assist in the relief effort for the victims of Hurricane Harvey. There will be a trailer available Monday through Friday in the parking lot north of the High School Building for drop off. Students should drop off items in their homeroom classroom. Our collection will span three weeks with the following themes for each week. Donations to support relief effort on Texas Coast through Catholic Charities.
Week One: "Sock it to Harvey" (9/5-9/8)
Donate socks, underwear, personal hygiene items, bug spray, sunscreen. Clothing items should range across adult sizes.
Week Two: "Mop the Floor with Harvey" (9/11-9/15)
Donate cleaning supplies, diapers, baby wipes, etc.
Week Three: "Feed the Need" (9/18-9/22)
Donate school supplies, dog/cat food, clothing (all sizes, youth/adult), gift cards (HEB cards available in the office).
***UPDATE: We appreciate the emails that have come in regarding donation centers turning donations away due to the vast amounts of donations. We have confirmed through Catholic Charities that they will continue to collect items and disperse them as needed.
Thank You, Volunteers!
St. Mary's School would like to thank the volunteers and teachers who helped with health screenings last week. St. Mary's is blessed to have received the donation of time from those who helped out.
The Lockers are Here!
Our new lockers arrived on Friday and the donor nameplates will be added soon. Please mark your calendars to be with us for Homecoming, October 7 for the game at 10am, followed by a tailgate party and recognition for those who gave to this project. Thank you for helping us equip our athletes.
Turkey Dinner Raffle
It's once again time for the St. Mary's Turkey Dinner. The Raffle Committee members are currently collecting various prizes for the raffle as well as contributions of $100 or more that will go toward the major prize giveaways. It's hard to believe Turkey Dinner is only a month away, so please bring in your donations as soon as possible.
We hope to count on your continued support in making this another successful raffle!

Apache Swag from FanCloth
It's never difficult to spot an Apache in a crowd because our families are always supporting St. Mary's School by sporting their Apache gear. We are preparing our official St. Mary's spirit shirt design for the 2017-2018 school year that may be worn by our students on spirit days. In the meantime, we have a list of items made available by FanCloth
for our parents
to shop Apache swag. To be clear... these items are not the official SMS spirit shirt and will not be allowed on spirit shirt days, but this is a great opportunity for our parents to sport a wide array of St. Mary's blue. Check out the Apache store on FanCloth
HERE
. The purchase window closes on the first round on September 8th, so get your orders in now!
