Apache Week Ahead
Lunch orders for this week include Hoegemeyer's Pulled Pork on Thursday and Dutchman's sandwiches on Friday! Fill out the lunch order by tomorrow, Tuesday October 2nd at noon.
Tomorrow is Solidarity day, a day to support anti-bullying efforts across the Archdiocese of San Antonio. We will wear orange to show our support for being united in faith, hope and love against bullying. Students may wear orange from head to toe, as long as it is appropriate. If wearing an orange shirt, students may wear it with khaki or blue jean pants or shorts. All shirts/dresses MUST have sleeves.
Congratulations to the SMS Cross Country teams on the fantastic finish in the AIAL District Meet. Boys B, Girls A and Girls B all won 1st place in the team standings.
Ann Claire Cop medaled with a 2nd place finish in Girls A and Michael Jung won 3rd in Boys B. We are proud of all of our runners.
Spirit Shirt Day/Pep Rally
This Friday, October 5th, is Spirit Shirt Day! We will have a pep rally on Friday at 2:45 in the Murchison-Pahl Gymnasium. Come show your support for the Apaches as they prepare to extinguish the Flames of Holy Spirit of San Antonio!
Mrs. Wikander's 4th Grade Homeroom is leading the Mass Thursday at 8am. Please join us!
Blessing of the Animals
On Thursday afternoon, we will have the Blessing of the Animals to honor the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi. Parents may bring live animals to the blessing at 2:45. Students may not bring live animals to school with them. All dogs must be on a leash. Students in grades 3K-3 may bring a stuffed animal with them to school that will be blessed during the prayer service. Family and friends with their animals are welcome. Livestock may be brought but will not be allowed on the field.
