March 19, 2018
LICE ALERT! As a reminder, St. Mary's has a no-nit policy regarding the presence of head lice. Please take a few moments this evening to check your child(ren) for head lice. If your child is or has been sent home due to the presence of head lice or nits, they must report to the front office before joining their class in the morning to be checked.
Congratulations to our 1st Place winners at the Archdiocese level
The Big Give is almost here!
You are invited
to a kick off breakfast for the 2018 Big Give on Thursday, March 22 at 7am in the Holy Family Center. Please join your student(s) for donuts and kolaches.
There will be no early bird.
Students are encouraged to bring any spare change as a gift to The Big Give. Last year our students gave a gift together of over $700!
Please help us spread the word by sharing our social media posts (10 reasons to give to SMS on Facebook and Instagram.)
The first 100 people through the door receive an Apache pop socket!
The Big Give is a 24 hour giving campaign for nonprofits across South Central Texas. Last year SMS won prize money for having the most new donors in Gillespie County. We want to raise even more for our school this year. The Inside Story and Arrowhead Bank have generously agreed to match dollar for dollar each donation of $14 to encourage many new donors. Thank you Inside Story and Arrowhead Bank! You can make your gift in honor of someone so think of teachers, your children or a friend that would be honored by your gift to education.
In lieu of our students attending Stations of the Cross during the school day, we highly encourage all students and families to come to the Life Teen Youth performance of the Stations of the Cross. This is bound to be a very powerful event, aimed specifically at the youth of the St. Mary's Parish and School community. Come enjoy the Lenten Fish Fry afterwards benefiting the Teacher Appreciation fund of SMS (
WE NEED VOLUNTEERS!!! Please contact Mignonne Frantzen if you are available to help)
