Mums are a Texas homecoming staple. We love Texas, we love mums, but we also respect the instructional time in the classroom and the peace in knowing we will not be putting on our UPS hats in the office, playing delivery man to each student receiving a mum. The truth is that they are a huge distraction to what our students and teachers are working to accomplish in the classroom. As a result,
mums, garters, and homecoming flowers will not be allowed during the school day or during the pep rally throughout homecoming week
. Any student who brings a mum or garter will be required to leave it in their locker until dismissal.
Blackout Pep Rally
The special Homecoming Blackout Pep Rally will be Friday, September 28 at 2:30. To ensure the gym stays dark and the kids have the most fun, doors to the gym will be locked at 2:29pm and guests will not be allowed in.
THE OFFICE WILL BE CLOSED DURING THE PEP RALLY.
If you will need to pick up your child, please pick them up prior to 2:30.
Homecoming Dance for 6th, 7th and 8th
The Cheerleaders are hosting the Homecoming Dance. Modest attire is required and mums may be worn to the game and dance.
