Robotics
St. Mary's FTC Robotics teams -- TNT, C4, and TSAR -- are heading up to Roseburg again tomorrow for SOAR (Southern Oregon Area Robotics) League Meets 2 & 3! These are the final SOAR League meets of the season, and the teams' wins go with them to the League Championship in January. Each team will compete in 10 matches, so it will be a long day. All three St. Mary's teams have strong robots, so it should be another exciting day of match play!
Did you know...

Parking Lot Tips, Rules, and Etiquette

1. Remember that the lane closest to the parking spaces is always to be used a through lane. Please do not park or wait in this lane at any time.

2. In an effort to move cars through the pick up line quickly, please arrive on time to pick up your child. Middle school students are released at 3:15pm and high school students are released at 3:30pm. High school parents, consider waiting to enter the parking lot until 3:30pm to pick up your child. This will allow the middle school parents time to exit the parking lot and will free up a considerable amount of space.

4. Please make it a swift drop off and pick up -- it's best if the kids have their backpacks and bag ready to go and are able to quickly exit the car on the right-hand side of the car. If you can avoid storing backpacks and bags in the trunk, please do so.

5. Please be aware of your surroundings while driving in the parking lot. The speed limit is five (5) miles per hour. Please use common sense and courtesy as you drive through the lot and pull up all the way to the chapel . Do not block the entrance or drop off/pick up your student any where near the entrance.

Attention Skiers and Snowboarders!

Registration forms and information packets for the Mt. Ashland After-School Ski and Snowboard Program are now available in the St. Mary’s front office or can be downloaded here. Participants in this popular program spend five Fridays at Mt. Ashland enjoying some of the best downhill skiing and snowboard riding our local area has to offer. Lift passes, bus transportation, hour-long lessons with the Mt. Ashland Ski/Snowboard School, and discount equipment rental rates are all part of the package.

The dates for the program are January 12, 19, 26, and February 2, 9. On these five
Fridays, skiers and snowboarders will leave from the St. Mary's School parking lot right
after school. For our Ashland families, we make a return stop on our way back down the
mountain in Ashland’s Market of Choice parking lot.

Mt. Ashland helps make financial aid possible for those who might not otherwise participate. A financial aid application is included in the packet of general registration forms now available in the St. Mary’s front office.

Financial aid applications are due Friday, December 8. A complete set of registration forms with payment is due Thursday, December 21. All Crusaders—both middle- and high-school students—are encouraged to come along!
