Principal Notes                                               December 20, 2018

Dear Families,

During these last days before Christmas we reflect on the surprising ways in which God has worked in our own lives: relationships repaired, behaviors transformed, illnesses healed, energies rekindled, and hope restored. Let's continue to watch and be grateful for unanticipated gifts, no matter how simple or disguised. Come Emmanuel.

Please join us for Mass at 8:00 tomorrow. It is wonderful to see so many parents and grandparents sitting with their children/grandchildren in church. Following Mass tomorrow our 2nd grade will be presenting our Living Nativity. Hope you can join us! Dismissal is at 11:00.

This is the last Virtual Backpack for 2018.  Next week we will have a special edition for Christmas.

My Christmas wish for you is that you have a peaceful and holy Christmas season. Enjoy the time together as family and treasure every moment. The greatest gift of God's Son is best experienced as family. Enjoy the special liturgies and prayers as well during this season.

May God bless you all!  Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

The school office will close tomorrow at 11:30 and reopen on Wednesday, January 2nd.

If you have any questions or concerns, please give me a call.  I am happy to help.

Have a blessed Advent!

Office Notes
Safeguard Trained
According to the Archdiocese of Milwaukee any one who volunteers in a school MUST BE safeguarded trained.
The goal of the Safeguarding All of God's family program is to protect our children and all in the church family from abuse and related dangers.
We here at St. Mary's Visitation School take this very seriously.   No one is allowed to volunteer in the parish or school without going through this process.
Please relay this information to your your family members who would be volunteering at school.

Please see the link below to sign up.

Positively SMV

Something wonderful occurs each month- a collaboration between our parish and school families to help those in need.  These families volunteer their time to help provide a meal for the St. Ben's Community Meal Program..  A few of our SMV moms organize the evening, many help with food donation and preparation, and lastly families come together to help serve the meal.  This past month we had several SMV students serving and spending time with those that attended.
What an amazing testament to our SMV community- even our youngest members are gracious enough to spend their free time helping those that have less.  These acts of kindness are most positively, positively SMV!

And with that you will find a few things that are Positively SMV!
