Staying Connected as a Faith Community

JOIN US TONIGHT AT 7:30 PM for parish wide COMPLINE

What is Compline and Zoom???

Compline is a brief service to close the day, an opportunity to give thanks for the joys and graces experienced, a chance to confess sins committed throughout the day, and the perfect moment to close the day the same way it started: in prayer.

Zoom is an online video conferencing tool that is very popular these days. You may either download the APP to your cell phone or computer or dial in. You do not have to have a live video of yourself posted although it has been wonderful for those who have done Zoom over that last two weeks to see each other!

Click the link to install the Zoom App from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store

See Links below in Ann's Reflection to access the meeting once the APP is installed or how to call in with a phone.

Reflection from Rev. Ann

It's hard to believe we have been at this for two weeks already. Our church buildings are closed, and we are exploring ways to stay connected and be community while we are physically apart. We are all making lots of phone calls, clergy and members of the vestry. We care about how you are doing. We love to hear from you, and we are happy to make time to talk. We are in this together. We will get through this together, with God's help. Drop me an email ( [email protected] ) or call/text my cell (304-951-7122). If you need anything, or know someone else who needs assistance, please reach out. We are doing the work God has for us to do, to love another. To love one another during and through these uncertain and anxious times. To love another by sharing our grief at all the losses we are experiencing and our fears of the future. We are staying connected and exploring how to see one another virtually.

TONIGHT - This Friday, March 27 at 7:30 pm we invite you to 'try on' worship by zoom. We will pray together the short service of Compline (Night Prayers). The vestry did a trial run and decided we would like to offer this opportunity to 'gather in God's name'. With this link Join Zoom Meeting   you may join by video conference or you may dial in on your phone at this number [ One tap mobile+1 929 205 6099]  It works easiest if you sign up in advance on  zoom.us  (their website) or if you are using a tablet or cell phone you may download the app. You may also ignore those options and simply use your phone. Then you will join on audio only which may work best for you. Please call me at 304-951-7122 if you are trying to do this an you are having trouble and I will attempt to walk you through it.

Please continue, as you are able, to send in offerings to the church office. They will be counted and deposited weekly to keep our operations going and our financial commitments strong. You may mail envelopes to the office or drop in the secure mailbox outside the office.
TAKING CARE OF YOURSELF & OTHERS

A prayer for caregivers who support the sick.

Compassionate God, support and strengthen all those who reach out in love, concern, and prayer for the sick and distressed. In their acts of compassion, may they know that they are your instruments. In their concerns and fears, may they know your peace. In their faithful serving, may they know your steadfast love. May they not grow weary or faint-hearted, for your mercy’s sake.
Amen.
