Ash Wednesday
February 17th @ 7pm
On Ash Wednesday we begin our forty-day journey toward Easter with a day of fasting and repentance. Marking our foreheads with dust, we acknowledge that we die and return to the earth. At the same time, the dust traces the life-giving cross indelibly marked on our foreheads at baptism. Please join us as we embark on this journey together.

“For those who want to save their life will lose it, and those who lose their life for my sake, and for the sake of the gospel, will save it.” – Mark 8:35
Jesus is pretty clear that we are not to spend our time on earth amassing stuff and seeking to extend our lives and capital but rather to give ourselves away in grateful response to the gospel. Saving one’s life is about loving and giving instead of fortifying one’s own status and economic condition.

Mission, Money, and the Church (Conclusion) by Chris A. Meinzer
Stewardship Leaders Newsletter Issue # 40 | Feb.9, 2021
This week we continue to hear from Chris Meizner from ATS. If you have not had a chance to read last week’s article, I encourage you to check it out. While there may be a time for both approaches, the dual pandemic of racism and COVID-19 has forced a church often stuck in incrementalism to make bold, decisive innovative change in a short period of time.
How have you seen your church respond incrementally or innovatively to the challenges it has faced because of the dual pandemic?
