Ministry Highlights
  • Important Updates Regarding Protocols Yesterday you received an email outlining St. Matthew's current pandemic protocols. To read the entire email, please click HERE.
  • Please note that at this moment, with the exception of Communion, outlined below, St. Matthew's policies and procedures for worship and other ministries have not changed. We ask and expect all who enter our buildings to follow them as before, whether it be for worship or during the week. This includes, but is not limited to, our policies regarding wearing masks and social distancing during worship, and maintaining buildings closed to walk in visitors during the week. If needed, please review these policies on our website HERE.

  • Communion at In Person Worship Yesterday's email also contained information regarding the restarting of Communion at in-person worship once a month in each worship service. This weekend we will have Communion at our 9am New Vintage and 11am Prayer & Praise services. Again, please read yesterday's email HERE for all the details.

  • Walled Lake Chair Section Chairs This is your final opportunity to take chairs from the chair section in the sanctuary! Please take them this Sunday, Oct. 11 after worship. Any remaining chairs will be removed after this date, to make room for our new chairs!

  • Altar Flowers are available again You may request Altar Flowers to be placed in our worship spaces again. We will now use a paper-less method of requesting flowers. Please email natalie.yanosy@st-matthew.org or call the church office with the following information, drop your payment in the offering plate with a note indicating they are for Altar Flowers, or mail payment to the church office.
  • What the flowers are for (in memory of/in celebration of)?
  • Who they are from? Please include your phone number and email address.
  • The date the flowers are to be placed
  • How many flower arrangements are being requested ($20/each)
  • Flowers to be placed in Sanctuary / Gym / Wixom

  • Thanksgiving Feast 2020 Pandemic Style - watch for upcoming information on how you can donate and volunteer for our alternative to the Thanksgiving Feast!

  • Building Safety School has started and our buildings still remain closed for walk-in visitors during the week. Some staff members are returning to work onsite, and some continue to work remotely. IMPORTANT: Anyone wishing to meet with a staff member should contact that staff member directly or the church office to schedule a time to enter and meet. Proper entrance protocols will be adhered to at that time (including temperature taken, exposure evaluated, etc.). Thank you for your patience as we work very hard to keep everyone safe!

Other Ministry Events and Updates
MISSIONS UPDATE - EVERLASTING LIFE MINISTRY AND PASTOR DANIEL IN INDIA The Lord has raised up several of you to help get the funds raised to purchase the Land adjacent to the church. In late September St. Matthew paid the remaining balance and the Land is owned and registered to Everlasting Life Ministry. Praise God! Thank you all for your donations. They are having church outside on the land at this time. Eventually they will build a Pastor Training Center on the land. Things are going well in India. They are still in lockdown. However, the Word of God goes forth, through small churches meeting in homes. Many Baptisms have taken place in the last few months. Praise God for their progress. Oct 1 the Everlasting Life Church of Amristar had their 7th festival and baptized 4 more people. The Everlasting life church in Hoshipura is meeting in the foundation of the future church that they are building. Please join me in lifting up praises to the Lord of Lords for our friends in India. If you would like to see pictures please text me at 810-560-1485. A servant of the King, Clay Donnell

Reminders
Did you miss it?
If you missed our previous eNews, here are a few reminders:

  • Working Again! Zoom Telephone Option for Worship Zoom has resolved the issue with the telephone option. Please let your loved ones know that they can phone in to worship again!
  • Communications Requests As we continue to modify our Communications tools to serve our St. Matthew community better (eNews, website, etc.), please connect with the appropriate Ministry Leader to request to have information communicated out. They will then ensure that information is directed to the appropriate channels for communication. The Messenger on the website is no longer an effective communication tool. Please contact Ministry Leaders directly to discuss your needs. Thank you for your patience as we create a more effective process for Communications Requests, and the tools to make it happen.
  • Photos?? Do you have photos from St. Matthew events to share with our congregation? Please email them to photos@st-matthew.org and we will consider sharing them in the eNews!
