"For the Lord takes delight in his people." Psalm 149:4
Message from the Principal
Dear St. Michael-St. Gabriel Families and Friends,

If you have children in PreK through Grade 7, you should have received a registration packet for your family this week. We ask that if you are planning to register your child with us for the 2021-2022 school year that these be completed and returned to the main office by January 29th. After that date, any open spots will become available to new families.

Next week we will begin WIDA testing for all of our English language learners. This exam will test their English proficiency in listening, reading, speaking, and writing. Because of the number of tests to be given, students may be tested between Monday and the end of February. We will begin Kindergarten assessments next week. We ask that if your child is taking this exam that he or she be present, since there are many tests which would need to be made up.

Remember, too, that next Wednesday and Thursday will be 1:30 dismissals for our virtual Parent-Teacher Conferences. We will still provide after care each of those days; however, we would like your child to be present during your conference. Please refer to the link found in this newsletter to sign up for a conference.

Know that you are in our continued prayers as we begin this new year.

God Bless,
Mrs. Ramos

Prayer for Students

Lord our God,
in your wisdom and love
you surround us with the mysteries of the universe.
Send your Spirit upon these students
and fill them with your wisdom and blessings.
Grant that they may
devote themselves to their studies
and draw ever closer to you,
the source of all knowledge. We ask this through Christ our Lord.

R/. Amen.

Pope Francis prayer for protection from Coronavirus

O Mary, you shine continuously on our journey as a sign
of salvation and hope.
We entrust ourselves to you, Health of the Sick.
At the foot of the Cross you participated in Jesus’ pain,
with steadfast faith.
You, Salvation of the Roman People, know what we need.
We are certain that you will provide, so that,
as you did at Cana of Galilee,
joy and feasting might return after this moment of trial.
Help us, Mother of Divine Love,
to conform ourselves to the Father’s will
and to do what Jesus tells us:
He who took our sufferings upon Himself,
and bore our sorrows to bring us,
through the Cross, to the joy of the Resurrection.
Amen.
We seek refuge under your protection, O Holy Mother of God.
Do not despise our pleas – we who are put to the test
– and deliver us from every danger, O glorious and blessed Virgin.
