August Month At A Glance

2026-2027 School Year Calendar

A Message From The Principal

Dear St. Michael-St. Gabriel Families and Friends,

In less than a week we will be welcoming both our new and returning students to campus for our annual Back to School Bash on Thursday, August 6th from 3:00-5:00 p.m. This is a great opportunity for students and parents to meet their child’s homeroom teacher and to drop off school supplies before the first day of school.

You will notice a few changes as we begin our year, as we have relocated our office to the main entrance of the school. Families will now need to come up the stairs and wait to be buzzed into the main office located at the top of the stairs. Additionally, we have completed the work on our security doors which lead into the cafeteria and into the main hallway of the school. We also installed new flooring on the main level of the school, which makes the hallway seem much bigger and brighter. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we made these changes, but know that we are committed to ensuring the safety of our students and staff, and we ask that you do your part in complying with our expectations this school year.

Finally, we are pleased to welcome a few more new faces to campus this year!

Those new hires include:

Mr. Nick McGrath - Junior High Social Studies

Ms. Lisa White - Literacy Coach for Grades K-8

Mrs. Shawna Milivojevic - Social Worker

Mrs. Michelle Hutson - Title I Reading

Mr. Todd Hayden - Title I Math

Ms. Hannah Jones - First Grade

Ms. Megan Glaser - Second Grade

Ms. Delaney Berger - Third Grade

Ms. Brenna Nurenberg - Junior High Math

Mr. Ryan Considine - Junior High Science

Ms. Carol Gutierrez - Junior High Spanish

As always, if we can help you in any way, please do not hesitate to contact us. Remember that the first day of school is Monday, August 10th, and we will dismiss at 1:30 p.m. that day. Aftercare will not begin until Tuesday, August 11th.

God Bless,

Mrs. Ramos

Sr. Nick McGrath - Junior High Social Studies

Sra. Lisa White - Literacy Coach for Grades K-8

Sra. Shawna Milivojevic - Social Worker

Sra. Michelle Hutson - Title I Reading

Sr. Todd Hayden - Title I Math

Sra. Hannah Jones - First Grade

Sra. Megan Glaser - Second Grade

Sra. Delaney Berger - Third Grade

Sra. Brenna Nurenberg - Junior High Math

Sr. Ryan Considine - Junior High Science

Sra. Carol Gutierrez - Junior High Spanish

Sra. Ramos

Faith & Service
Prayer for Students

Lord our God,
in your wisdom and love
you surround us with the mysteries of the universe.
Send your Spirit upon these students
and fill them with your wisdom and blessings.
Grant that they may
devote themselves to their studies
and draw ever closer to you,
the source of all knowledge. We ask this through Christ our Lord.

R/. Amen.

“Everybody today seems to be in such a terrible rush, anxious for greater developments and greater riches and so on, so that children have very little time for their parents. Parents have very little time for each other, and in the home begins the disruption of peace in the world.”

8th Grade Trash Bag Sales

It’s that time of year when we know many of you are beginning to bag up your leaves and clean out your gardens. If you are interested in purchasing trash bags from the school office, we are selling rolls for $11 a piece. All proceeds go to fund the eighth grade class trip. An initial order form was sent home with all students this week, if you are interested in purchasing any.  We do sell these bags throughout the year as well, so you may consider purchasing some in the spring as well.
