Message from the Principal
Dear St. Michael-St. Gabriel Families and Friends,

We hope your family’s summer vacation has been off to a great start! Quarter 4 report cards have been finalized and were mailed this week. If you do not receive your child’s report card by the end of next week, please reach out to us for another copy. Eighth grade students will also be receiving a copy of their class photo with their report card.

If your child just completed Kindergarten through Grade 5, he or she will also be receiving an IXL bingo card, log-in information, and instructions for completion of that card. For those of you who were with us last year, you will recall that we sent out similar bingo cards this last summer and distributed incentives to those students who completed their bingo cards. This is just one way for us to continue to bridge that learning gap from summer to fall when we are back in session. Students in Grade 5 will also be receiving another copy of our Chromebook agreement, should you wish to purchase a Chromebook for your incoming sixth grade student.

In a separate mailing, you will receive our summer reading list, school supply list, and school uniform information. That will follow soon, so please be on the lookout for those.

We know that many of our families use the summer months as a time to catch up on their doctor appointments. As you receive new vaccination records for your child, please be sure to send us a copy as well. We are required to have up-to-date immunization records on file for our students, so your assistance in getting those records to us is essential.

As a reminder, Spanish assistance is available Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, except for the week of the Fourth of July. If we can be of any assistance to you over the summer, please feel free to call us.

God Bless,
Mrs. Ramos

Prayer for Students

Lord our God,
in your wisdom and love
you surround us with the mysteries of the universe.
Send your Spirit upon these students
and fill them with your wisdom and blessings.
Grant that they may
devote themselves to their studies
and draw ever closer to you,
the source of all knowledge. We ask this through Christ our Lord.

R/. Amen.

We will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. each day throughout the summer. Spanish assistance will be available on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

During the summer these are the dates
the newsletter will be sent out.

Our Used Uniform Sale will be held on Friday, June 24th from 1:00-3:00 p.m. in the school cafeteria. We will also have new gym shirts and gym shorts available for students to purchase. One set costs $20. These are required for students in Grades 6-8. Families who wish to sell items that their children have outgrown may drop off those items to the school office. Please include your name, contact information, and the cost you are requesting for each item. Note that this year, we are only accepting plaid jumpers, plaid skirts, plaid skorts, and SMSG sweatshirts. Items should be laundered and in good condition. We will not be accepting navy bottoms or red shirts for resale, as these will change for this coming school year to include our logo on them. These items should be dropped off by Wednesday, June 22nd to the main office if you would like to sell any items.

The New Uniform Sale will be held in the Cardinal Ritter High School gym on Friday, June 24th from 3:00-6:00 p.m. and Saturday, June 25th from 10:00 a.m. until noon. New uniform bottoms (such as skirts, shorts, and pants) will be available in all sizes to try on. You can then place your order on site.
