Message from the President
Dear Parents,

As we head into our last week of remote learning, I want to thank you for all of your prayers and support. I want to thank our awesome teachers for all the hard work they put into preparing remote lessons. It has been so exciting to see how creative they have been.

As we finish up this year, we definitely want to recognize our students for their achievements throughout this year. On May 26 th, we will air our 8 th Graduation and Awards Ceremony at 6:00 PM. The link can be found here and on our website. Thank you to our Media and Communication team at Cardinal Ritter for making this possible.

Please email me with any questions.

God Bless,

Mrs. Hoy
Message from the Principal
Dear St. Michael-St. Gabriel Families and Friends,

Believe it or not, but our last week of school is already upon us! As noted in earlier newsletters, we decided to conduct E-learning through May 22nd, ending school a week earlier than previously scheduled when we started the year. We ask that all students do their best to complete all assignments by that date. This includes the completion of final exams by our junior high students next week. Should a student need additional time to complete some assignments that have not been completed by next Friday, we are allowing students until Friday, May 29th to submit their work to their teachers with the exception of a few students who have extension plans in place with Mrs. Barkley. After that date, teachers will begin finalizing grades for this last semester.

Next Wednesday, May 20th, families with students in Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 2, in addition to those families who have not picked up their students’ belongings in Grades 3-7, may do so between the hours of 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m.

Soon we will be providing you with more information about textbook drop-off. While this pertains mostly to our junior high students, we know that there are some novels and hardback books that need to be returned to our elementary teachers as well. As your student begins completing those last assignments, please make sure that your child has placed his or her name inside the front cover of each textbook to be returned so that we can make sure your student’s book is properly returned to the teachers. Students who do not return their books or return books in poor shape are subject to charges to replace those textbooks.

Continue to take care of yourselves, and if you have any questions as we begin to wrap up the school year, please let us know.

God Bless,

Mrs. Ramos

Junior High Final Exams
Just as we did first semester, all students in Grades 6-8 will be given a final exam. Due to our current circumstances, please understand that the final exam may take on a different format and may be more of a paper or project instead of a traditional exam. These exams will be given the week of May 18th. More specific information will be given to students in the next week or so from their teachers.

Pope Francis prayer for protection from Coronavirus

O Mary, you shine continuously on our journey as a sign
of salvation and hope.
We entrust ourselves to you, Health of the Sick.
At the foot of the Cross you participated in Jesus’ pain,
with steadfast faith.
You, Salvation of the Roman People, know what we need.
We are certain that you will provide, so that,
as you did at Cana of Galilee,
joy and feasting might return after this moment of trial.
Help us, Mother of Divine Love,
to conform ourselves to the Father’s will
and to do what Jesus tells us:
He who took our sufferings upon Himself,
and bore our sorrows to bring us,
through the Cross, to the joy of the Resurrection.
We seek refuge under your protection, O Holy Mother of God.
Do not despise our pleas – we who are put to the test
– and deliver us from every danger, O glorious and blessed Virgin.
