June Month At A Glance

2026-2027 Tentative School Year Calendar

Dear St. Michael-St. Gabriel Families and Friends, 

As we close another year, we recognized dozens of students for various academic achievements and service at this morning’s awards ceremony. We want to thank all of our teachers and staff for their amazing work with our students, and we want to thank you for entrusting us to educate your child this year. 

This past Tuesday we celebrated our 8th Grade graduation. We wish our students the very best as they begin a new and exciting chapter in their lives as they transition into high school. May God continue to be at their side as they embark on this next adventure. 

As a reminder, IREAD summer school will be taking place from June 1st-12th from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Breakfast will be served beginning at 8:30 a.m. and lunch will be served at noon. Students may wear casual clothing for summer school.  Additionally, Title One summer school will begin June 15th. 

This next week our teachers will submit their grades for the final quarter and semester, and then we will work on finalizing all report cards and mailing those home. Know that while our students will be beginning their summer vacation, our school will still be open over the summer months to answer any questions you may have. 

Once again, we wish all of you a safe and relaxing summer!  We look forward to seeing our returning and new families on August 10th!

Queridos Padres y Amigos de San Miguel-San Gabriel, 

Al cerrar otro año escolar, hemos reconocido a docenas de estudiantes por sus diversos logros académicos y servicios en la ceremonia de premiación de esta mañana. Queremos agradecer a todos nuestros maestros y personal por su excelente trabajo con nuestros estudiantes y queremos agradecerles por confiar en nosotros para educar a sus hijos este año.

El martes pasado celebramos la graduación de 8vo Grado. Les deseamos a nuestros estudiantes lo mejor en este nuevo y emocionante capítulo en sus vidas, al comenzar la transición a la preparatoria. Que Dios los acompañe en esta próxima aventura. 

Les recordamos, que la escuela de verano de IREAD se llevará a cabo del 1 al 12 de junio de 9:00 a.m. a 2:00 p.m. El desayuno se servirá a partir de las 8:30 a.m. y el almuerzo al mediodía. Los estudiantes pueden usar ropa informal para la escuela de verano. Además, la escuela de verano del programa de  Título 1 comienza el 15 de junio.

La próxima semana, nuestros maestros entregarán sus calificaciones del último trimestre y semestre y luego trabajaremos en la finalización de todas las boletas de calificaciones para enviarlas por correo a sus hogares. Sepan que, aunque nuestros estudiantes comenzarán sus vacaciones de verano, nuestra escuela permanecerá abierta durante los meses de verano para responder cualquier pregunta que puedan tener. 

¡Una vez más, les deseamos a todos un verano seguro y relajante! ¡Esperamos ver a nuestras familias que regresan  y a las nuevas el 10 de Agosto!

USED UNIFORMS NEEDED FOR OUR UNIFORM SALE

If you are interested in selling uniforms that your child has outgrown or can no longer wear, you may want to consider selling them at our Used Uniform Sale in July. Simply tag each article of clothing with your name, phone number, and the cost you are asking for each item. Please be sure all items have been washed and are in good shape to sell. Items should be dropped off at the main office by July 8th. Also, volunteers will be needed to assist us with the uniform sales on July 10th and 11th. Please reach out to Mrs. Ramos if you would like to help. 

NECESITAMOS UNIFORMES PARA NUESTRA VENTA DE UNIFORMES

Si usted está interesado en vender los uniformes de sus hijos porque sus hijos crecieron o no los usan más, usted debería de considerar venderlos en nuestro evento de Venta de Uniformes Usados en julio. Simplemente ponga una etiqueta en cada artículo de ropa con su nombre, número de teléfono, y el costo que desea por cada cosa. Por favor asegúrese de que la ropa la haya lavado y esté en buena condición para venderla.  Los artículos deben entregarse en la oficina principal antes del 8 de julio. También se necesitarán voluntarios para ayudarnos con la venta de uniformes los días 10 y 11 de julio. Si desea colaborar, comuníquese con la Sra. Ramos.

SUMMER READING 2026

Each year our students are asked to keep their minds engaged by completing the required summer reading. Below you will find our Summer Reading List for 2026 and also the Crusader Journal, which needs to be completed by students going into Grades 6-8. 

LECTURA DE VERANO DEL 2026

Cada año se les pide a nuestros estudiantes que mantengan sus mentes activas y se les pide que hagan una lectura de verano. A continuación, encontrarán nuestra Lista de Lectura de Verano 2026 y también el Diario de los Crusaders, que deben de realizar los estudiantes que vayan a los Grados del 6 al 8.
