2023-2024 School Year Calendar

Dear St. Michael-St. Gabriel Families and Friends, 

As we reach the hallway point of Quarter 2, now would be an excellent time for you and your student to review quarter grades. All junior high students have their PowerSchool codes and are able to check their own grades, but we want you to be able to see their grades as well. Again, if you have problems accessing these grades or need your password reset, please reach out to me. 

On Monday, our eighth grade students will shadow at Cardinal Ritter High School from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. 

As a reminder, next week is a short week, as we are only in school Monday and Tuesday. Students will have Wednesday through Friday off for Thanksgiving break.  If you need to make any payments or need assistance, our office will be open from 8:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 22nd.

Queridos Padres y Amigos de San Miguel-San Gabriel,

Al llegar al pasillo del segundo trimestre, ahora es un excelente momento para que usted y su estudiante revisen las calificaciones del trimestre, Todos los estudiantes de secundaria tienen sus códigos PowerSchool y pueden verificar sus propias calificaciones, pero queremos que usted también pueda ver sus calificaciones. Nuevamente, si tiene problemas para acceder a estas calificaciones o necesita restablecer su contraseña, comuníquese conmigo.

El lunes, nuestros estudiantes de Octavo grado estarán en la Preparatoria de Cardinal Ritter tomando un día de observación de 11:00 a.m. hasta la 1:00 p.m.

Como recordatorio, la próxima semana es una semana corta, y que solo estaremos en la escuela el lunes y martes. Los estudiantes tendrán libres de miércoles a viernes como motivo de las vacaciones de Acción de Gracias. Si necesita realizar algún pago o necesita ayuda, nuestra oficina estará abierta de 8:30 a.m. a 1:30 p.m. miércoles 22 de Noviembre.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT, CRUSADERS!

Thank you from the St. Michael's St. Vincent de Paul Council to you, your teachers, staff and all the St. Michael-St. Gabriel School students for your generous response to this year's parish/school food drive. Over 1800 pounds of food items were collected in total for the benefit of the SVDP 30th Street Food Pantry. More than half of this amount was provided by the school. Your donations will be available to clients of the pantry this week and will add welcome variety to client choices as they plan for their families' weekly needs. Thanks to all of you again for being such willing partners for this annual event. A Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving to all of you.

GRACIAS POR SU APOYO, CRUSADERS!

De parte del consejo de San Miguel San Vicente de Paul le damos las Gracias a los maestros, personal y todos los estudiantes de la escuela San Miguel- San Gabriel por su generosa respuesta en la colecta de este año de alimentos parroquia/escuela. Se recolectaron más de 1800 libras de alimentos en total para beneficio de SVDP 30th street Despensa de Comida. Más de la mitad de esta cantidad fue aportada por la escuela. Sus donaciones estarán disponibles para los clientes de la despensa de esta semana y agregaran con bienvenida una variedad a las opciones para los clientes mientras planifican las necesidades semanales de su familias. Gracias a todos ustedes nuevamente por ser socios tan dispuestos a participar en este evento anual. Un feliz y bendecido Dia de Acción de Gracias para todos ustedes.

CONGRATULATIONS, CADET FOOTBALL TEAM!

We want to congratulate our CYO cadet football team for winning their fifth city championship!  They defeated St. Pius on Sunday, 14-6!  As a group, these boys have an overall record of 53-1, which is quite impressive, if we do say so ourselves!

¡FELICIDADES AL EQUIPO DE LOS CADETES DE FÚTBOL AMERICANO!

Queremos felicitar a nuestro equipo de los cadetes de fútbol americano de CYO por ganar su quinto campeonato de la ciudad! ¡Derrotaron a San Pío el domingo 14-6! Como grupo, estos muchachos tienen un récord general de 53-1. Lo cual es bastante impresionante, si lo decimos nosotros!

We would like to acknowledge that without the help of our supporters we would not be able to accomplish our goals at St. Michael – St. Gabriel School. Funds raised help with financial aid; teacher and staff support to attract and retain employees; communication of our Mission; enhance and support co-curricular programs & experiences; and campus upgrades.

Our annual Choral Festival for the West Deanery will take place at Cardinal Ritter High School on December 9, from 9:00am-12:30pm. This is for all students who love to sing in grades 5-8. Students will have the opportunity to sing with students from all over the deanery and perform in a Christmas Program. They will be under the direction of Ms. Kelly Leyba, the music director at Cardinal Ritter High School. This event is free for all students. Form is due to your Music Teacher by Wednesday, November 22.
