Our beloved Robin Murphy, a founding member of St. Michael’s, died peacefully on Wednesday, October 6th at 10:25 AM. May her soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen
Details for a memorial service and celebration of Robin’s life will be forthcoming.
Grant, O Lord, to all who are bereaved the spirit of faith and courage, that they may have strength to meet the days to come with steadfastness and patience; not sorrowing as those without hope, but in thankful remembrance of your great goodness, and in the joyful expectation of eternal life with those they love. And this we ask in the Name of Jesus Christ our Savior. Amen.
In Christ’s love,
Fr. Rick

Couplet du Kyrie (“Lord, have mercy”) F. Couperin (1668-1733)
Grazioso G. Telemann (1681-1767)
On “Assist us, Jesus, to endure” S. Karg-Elert (1877-1933)
SERVICE
Opening: 475 God himself is with us
Praise: S-96 Kyrie Schubert
Gospel: Refiner’s Fire
Offertory Anthem:
O Lord, that seest - C. Wood (1866-1926)
O Lord! that seest, from yon starry height, centred in one the future and the past, fashioned in thine own image, see how fast the world obscures in me what once was bright.
Eternal sun! the warmth which thou hast given to cheer life's flowry April fast decays; yet, in the hoary winter of my days, forever green shall be my trust in heaven.
Celestial King! O, let thy presence pass before my spirit, and an image fair shall meet that look of mercy from on high, as the reflected image in a glass doth meet the look of him who seeks it there, and owes its being to the gazer's eye.
Sanctus: S-130 Schubert
Fraction: S-154 Christ our Passover
Communion Anthem:
How shall a young man - Andrew J. Walker (b.1955)
The text is a setting of Ps.119, verses 9 & 10.
Closing: 707 Take my life, and let it be
POSTLUDE

If you and your family would like, you may write notes, draw pictures, and provide photos of your family for us to include with the Love Bags and gifts. In this way the children there will learn a little about the people who are sending this Christmas love. Through photos from Gylla, we are already seeing their faces and their village and feeling a connection with them.
Prayer support for Gylla and her mission work is requested. In addition please pray for the children and families this project will touch. At the heart of what we are doing is spreading the Word of God and his love for his children in this small village.
For those who may be wondering, Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes will not be an organized St. Michael’s project this year. You may participate in OCC on your own through Samaritan’s Purse online or through another participating church.
Thank you in advance for your participation and generosity. Together we can make this happen.
Project leaders,
Peggy and Roger Trubey
