Thank You!

Thank you so much for generously giving to our

Angel Tree project this year.

With your support we were able to meet the wishes of 35 kids from Lake Silver. We also were able to work with GOOD360.ORG to procure over $4,000 worth of toys and games for $168. In addition to using these for some of our angels, we donated over 60 items to One Heart for Women and Children to help with some of their holiday needs.

An Update on the Ukrainian Refugee Family

From Basia Andraka-Christou, St. Michael's member:

Ukrainian refugees, Mark, Margo, and Oksana, continue to reside in Basia's father's childhood home in Bialystok, Poland. They are generally doing quite well. Oksana had some health issues recently and had a hernia surgery, but recovered successfully. The twins love attending kindergarten at the Polish school across the street where they have many friends. They also play table tennis, and Oksana says they are quite good! They are on a table tennis team and sometimes travel with the team to see competitions in Poland.

By the end of February it will be 3 years since they arrived. They speak perfect Polish. Sadly, the twins do not remember Ukraine well anymore. Oksana cleans houses in the neighborhood and has an excellent reputation among the neighbors as being a reliable and friendly professional. If any St. Michael's parishioners would be willing to donate to help cover the costs of heating in the house, we would greatly appreciate it during this time of deep freezes and snow. The heating system is quite old and inefficient, unfortunately.

From Mike: If you would like to make a donation to assist with heating costs over the winter, please contact Mike in the office or just submit a check with "Ukraine" in the memo line. Thank you!
