Dear St. Michael’s Family,

On this Thanksgiving Day, I find myself reflecting on one simple truth that runs through Scripture: gratitude is the doorway through which we enter the presence of God. Psalm 100 says it so clearly—“Enter His gates with thanksgiving.” Gratitude isn’t just a feeling we express once a year; it is a spiritual posture that opens our eyes to the God who is already moving among us.

This is a season when I am especially aware of how deeply grateful I am for you.

Your faithfulness, your generosity, your prayers, your willingness to show up—week after week, in quiet ways and visible ways—are nothing short of a blessing. You are not simply members of a church. You are God’s beloved. You are God’s chosen dwelling place. And through your servant hearts, God’s presence becomes visible, tangible, and real in this community.

Because of you, St. Michael’s is not just a beautiful sacred space—it is a beacon of hope.

Within our walls, people find encouragement, healing, laughter, friendships, and a place to rest their souls. Beyond our walls, your love spills out into Orlando through outreach, hospitality, generosity, compassion, and service that touches people who may never step through our doors but nevertheless experience God’s grace through you.

This is the miracle of church: God takes ordinary people and uses them to bless the world in extraordinary ways.

So, this Thanksgiving, I want to say a heartfelt thank you:

  • Thank you for your trust—for letting me walk with you as your priest.
  • Thank you for your faithfulness—in worship, in giving, in serving.
  • Thank you for your generosity—not just financial, but the generosity of spirit that radiates from this place.
  • Thank you for being the kind of church where God’s love becomes real in everyday ways.

As you gather with family, friends, or perhaps in a quieter space this year, I pray you will feel the deep, steady joy of being held by God’s love. And I pray you know how deeply cherished you are by your St. Michael’s family.

May your Thanksgiving be filled with gratitude, peace, and the awareness that God delights in you.

With love and thanksgiving,
