Everyone is welcome.

Everyone is loved.

Everyone is empowered.

Everyone belongs.

Everyone!

Dear friends,

Jeremy and I are about to head out for vacation to see his family. Over the next few weeks we will have a different schedule and want to share that information along with some upcoming changes and important numbers with you...

The 8:30am Outdoor Worship will take a break until August 18th. When it resumes it will have a new start time - 8am.

While we are away there will be a 9:30am Worship with Live Stream. Here is the worship plan for the following dates -

  • July 14th - Montana is teaching about and leading morning prayer. In addition, everyone is invited to Splash Day at Bulverde Community Park right around the corner from St. Nick's.
  • July 21st - The Rev. Martha Mckee is joining us for the Celebration of Holy Communion. Martha is a wonderful priest who worships in Buda and comes and helps us when she can. After worship stay and enjoy ice cream sundaes and each other's company.
  • July 28th - Montana is leading us and other members of our congregation are helping with a favorite Hymn Sing. Join in for prayers and songs as we make a joyful noise unto the Lord.
  • August 4th - The Rev. Martha McKee is back to celebrate Holy Communion again. Please thank her for her time with us. She is a blessing as she uses her gifts to help out churches when they need a priest to help.

If you need special prayers, meals, communion, or pastoral care, you will want to contact our Family Minister Jena and Betsy, the leader of our Lay Eucharistic Visitor ministry. Jena can be reached at familyminister@stnickshillcountry.org or 253-561-2377 and Betsy can be reached at betsyrogers75@gmail.com or 303-709-9273.

I hope you will show up for one another, gather, and continue to praise the Lord while we are away. As we gather in the Anglican Church in Australia we will take great delight that we are saying the same prayers a world away.

God’s Peace, Love, and Blessings,

Beth+

Ministry Thank Yous!

Thanks to our Youth Group!

At the beginning of summer, we took nine youth to Austin to serve and grow in friendship and faith.

Not only did they do a great job at El Buen Samaritano, you can often find them helping in the PrayGround, on workdays, reading and serving at the altar.

New Diocesan Magazine

Welcome to la Ventana

Our diocese, the Diocese of West Texas has started a new magazine to share information and inspire our churches. Here is a note from our Bishop on the magazine -

Welcome to la Ventana, the Church News of West Texas. We are pleased to be launching our first edition of this publication. Coinciding with a time in which we commemorate our 150th anniversary, la Ventana was designed to incorporate elements that honor our history and traditions, and also introduce new features as the diocese enters a new era.

The name, la Ventana was chosen for two reasons. First, to celebrate the beautiful Mexican culture we have within our diocese. Secondly, a window is symbolic of the importance of looking both inside and outside the windows in our churches and communities as we spread the love of God and the good news of Jesus Christ within all corners of our diocese and beyond.

Rev. Beth and Jeremy were invited to share their thoughts and experiences on what happens when the church leaves the building. You can find their article here.

In addition, you can read recent news from our diocese and a question and answer from our new bishop - The Rt. Rev. David Read.
