The partnership plans to remedy habitat degradation and provides stewardship in coastal areas. The campaign's purpose is to create a community of stewardship for local habitats through education, outreach, and volunteer opportunities. The education component will directly impact students and adults, familiarizing multi-generations on the unique habitat types that support the native birds, fish, mammals, reptiles, and invertebrates. Destin-Fort Walton Beach is partnering with SeaWorld for the installation of their new 2,000 gallon lionfish exhibit. The SeaWorld team recently came to the destination to work with Alex Fogg, Coastal Resource Manager, to collect lionfish for the Orlando exhibit which opens in March. State of Florida Cultural Grant Programs 2023

Part of the Department of State's responsibilities includes grants for cultural affairs, historic preservation, and library/information services. While the application process for the upcoming fiscal year has closed, many applications for the fiscal year 2023 will open shortly.

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) invites you to participate in a bridge aesthetic workshop regarding the Brooks Bridge.
The workshop provides an opportunity for the public to help FDOT’s bridge architect develop aesthetic guidelines for the project that consider community preferences. Participants will be able to identify what makes the Brooks Bridge unique to the community, provide input regarding preferences on basic shapes and features, identify items of importance to the community that should be considered in the bridge aesthetic design, and provide comments
