St. Patrick's Day in the Winery, Pi Day Pies, and Read & Explore at Terhune Orchards

Spring is almost here! Days are growing longer, the weather is warming up, and the equinox is less than two weeks away.

Celebrate the imminent arrival of spring with farm fun all week long: visit the barnyard playground and animals or take a leisurely stroll along the farm trail. Stop by the farm store to choose from a variety of delicious pies for Pi Day. This weekend, celebrate St. Patrick's Day with live, local Irish music and firepits at the winery!

Everything You Need for Pi Day

Pi Day is this Friday! At the Terhune Orchards farm store, we have over a dozen varieties of delicious pies -- both sweet and savory -- for you to celebrate this special day. Pick up one of our famous fruit pies or make a pie-themed dinner with locally made Griggstown Shepherd's or pot pie.

Read & Explore: Getting Ready for Spring

Next Tuesday, March 18 & Saturday, March 22 at 10am

Terhune Orchards Read and Explore Program is our winter education series, following the popular seasonal Read and Pick Program.

Enjoy fun on the farm in winter! Read & Explore is a fun and educational program that combines hands-on activities with listening to a story. This hands-on educational program is a great cure for cabin fever and a way to stay connected to the farm during the winter months.

We will get ready to wake up from winter and prepare to start gardening. As St. Patrick’s Day is the traditional day to plant peas and spinach and get the garden ready, we will start our gardens too! Our reading is a selection from “Frog and Toad Are Friends.” Each child will plant seeds to take home.

Pre-registration is required.

$12 per participating child and includes the activity.
