PASTOR WENDORF’S WEEKLY DEVOTION
ORDINARY PEOPLE
Jehosheba, took Joash and stole him away from among the king’s sons who were being put to death, and she put him and his nurse in a bedroom. 2 Kings 11:2
Are you an ordinary person? Did you know that the Lord uses ordinary people to do extraordinary work in His kingdom? In our text, a woman and a nurse would hide the future king in a bedroom for seven years. “Ordinary people,” made an enormous difference in saving a life. As you look back on your life, think about the “ordinary people” that God has used to bless you. Especially those who have helped you grow in your walk with Jesus. Perhaps it is a VBS teacher, or a friend, or a family member. Then look for ways you can be used by the Holy Spirit to be a blessing to someone else. With the help of God, “ordinary people” can do amazing work in sharing the love of Jesus. Dear Lord, thank you for the ordinary people who have touched my life with Your love. Amen.
You are welcome to contact Pastor Wendorf to share your thoughts regarding his weekly devotions: pastor.wendorf@splgrafton.org.
