Thank you cards are an easy way to teach your kids about being thankful this holiday season. We encourage you to download and print out these Thanksgiving cards and fill them out with your kids.

Meet St. Nick at Holiday Fair

November 6th | 5:30-7:00 pm

Meet St. Nick and hear his story of giving at a Family Story Time from 5:30 to 7:00 in the church library. Enjoy celebrity readers and a photo opportunity with the Saint himself. The first 50 children will receive a free gift book. Snuggle with Bleu, a sweet, gentle therapy dog. There will be a potato and nacho bar dinner from 4:00 to 7:00 in the Wesley Center with a free-will offering. The evening is open-house style, come and go as you please. Bring the family for an evening of true joy, hope, and peace! 

Family Hangout

November 20 | 5:30- 7:00 pm

Join us at Holiday Play Land, a unique pop-up indoor play space for this holiday season! Enjoy various holiday-themed activities to get you into the holiday spirit as we help raise funds for our St. Paul’s ELC Scholarship Fund. The space will be full of equipment to get your child moving during the colder months, with all equipment geared for children ages 1-7. Older siblings are always welcome, too! Equipment will include ride-on toys, mini workout gear, inflatables, sports fields, and much more, offering nearly 8,000 sq ft of room to run and play. The event will occur from 5:30 to 7:00 pm at 850 Twixt Town Road, Marion, IA. Please drive around to the back of the building to find our decorated entrance. The cost is $12 per child, and adults are free. If cost is a barrier, please get in touch with Becca Nims for assistance.

Family Communion

December 1 | 10:30-11:00 am

Families and children are welcome to join us on the first Sunday of every month for a time of music, storytelling, and communion. This brief, informal gathering will take place from 10:30 to 11:00 am in the Children’s Parlor on the 3rd floor.

Children aged four through 5th grade are welcome to join us for Sunday School as stories from the Bible learn through art, spiritual practices, games, science, cooking, and storytelling/drama.

• 10th: Fruit of the Spirit – Missions 
• 17th: Pajama Party Sunday 
• 24th: No Sunday School – Happy Thanksgiving

DECEMBER

• 1st: Family Communion 
• 8th: A Baby is Born – Exploring the Story of Christmas Through Art 
• 15th: A Baby is Born – Exploring the Story of Christmas Through Cooking
• 22nd: Christmas Party!
• 29th: No Sunday School

Kids Mid-week Faith Formation Drop-off at 6:15 pm | Pick-up at 7:30 pm

On Wednesday nights, St. Paul's offers various engaging spiritual development activities for children aged 4 to 5th grade. Kids can participate in multiple faith-based events, social gatherings, and music sessions— something for everyone! The activities begin at 6:30 pm, after drop-off at 6:15 pm, and end at 7:30 pm. Come and join the fun!
