Upcoming Events & News

Last Chance for Tickets: The Churchmen’s Club is hosting their annual Mardi Gras Party in the Parish Hall Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at 6:00 pm. Tickets are $25 and are available to purchase at the office or from someone in the Churchmen’s Club. Come out to support the Churchmen’s Club and enjoy gumbo & bread pudding!


Lenten Offerings: The season of Lent begins on Ash Wednesday, February 22nd, with two services, one at noon and a second one at 6:00 pm. A couple of Lenten studies will be offered, one on Tuesday evenings via Zoom lead by the Rev. Katherine Wren, and one on Sunday afternoons lead by Nelson Barnett and Cathy McDonald.


The Sunday afternoon series will begin February 26th at 2:00 pm in the Parish Hall.

Lenten Luncheons: St. Paul’s, First United Methodist, First Presbyterian, Lyon College, and St. Mary’s Catholic Church are joining together to offer a Lenten Lunch series on the five Wednesdays in Lent beginning on March 1st at Lyon College. Before lunch we will participate in the Stations of the Cross liturgy followed by a brief mediation. We will begin at noon and will finish before 1:00 pm. On March 1st, lunch will be held at Lyon College with a devotional by Father Jon Miskin of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, March 8th will be held in our Parish Hall at St. Paul’s with a devotional by Pastor Elizabeth Brinegar of First Presbyterian Church, March 15th will be held at First United Methodist Church with a devotional by Chaplain Maggie Alsup of Lyon College, March 22nd will be held again at First United Methodist Church with lunch provided by First Presbyterian Church and a devotional by Father Jim McDonald & March 29th will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with a devotional by Katie Pearce of First United Methodist Church.
