Upcoming Events & News

T-Shirt Money: The shirts are in! If you ordered a t-shirt, please plan to pay as soon as possible. You can either bring money to the office, put it in the offering plate (please earmark it if you pay with cash or check) or you can give it to Sarah Harmon. A reminder of prices: S-XL $15 and XXL & up $20. Thank you!

Photos Needed: If you have any recent photos of church events- Shrimp dinner, potluck, etc., please email to the church office. We will use them in updating our church website. Thank you 🙂

Mahjongg Lessons: Are you interested in learning to play a really fun new game? Mahjongg is a Chinese game for 3-4 people played with tiles. The object is to collect winning sets of these tiles, similar to gin rummy or poker. Susie Cummins is offering to teach Mahjongg lessons beginning Sunday, September 8th in the Parish Hall at 2:00 pm. Please invite any friends you think might be interested. Susie is hoping we can have a Sunday afternoon group to play, snack, and have fun. Please let Katie in the church office know if you are interested or contact Susie at 870-306-1576.

You’re Invited: First Presbyterian Church will be making crochet plastic bag sleeping mats for the homeless by using Walmart bags. You are invited to come out every Monday at 10am in the Fellowship Hall at FPC; no need to bring supplies as they will be provided. Brenda Bittle will deliver these to those in need. If you’re interested in some insight as to how these are made, you can find a video on YouTube titled How To Make Plastic Bag Sleeping Mats (Where You Live).
