Mission: Our Lenten Book Study group has been discussing mission and how St. Paul’s might serve our community. We discussed expanding our community meals and will schedule a meeting with all involved to explore some options. In addition, we also discussed a way to provide more support to our members. On the church’s prayer list we pray for eight members each week who are not able to attend services in person. In addition we pray for members who are at various stages of healing from surgeries and illnesses. Our study group decided to form a Care Team here at St. Paul’s to support our members in tangible ways.
Care Team Being Formed: As noted above, we are now forming a Care Team, made of up of members who are available to help for as little as two hours a month doing any (or all) of the following: visit, run errands, provide transportation to appointments, send cards, and/or make phone calls. Fr. Jim has scheduled a dinner and meeting at 6:00 pm Sunday, May 1st in the Parish Hall for all who wish to join the team. Volunteers will be trained and supported. Please let Fr. Jim or Katie in the office know if you are interested and if you will attend the dinner.
Giving to St. Paul’s: For those attending online, there are three ways to give: you may mail your gifts to St. Paul’s at PO Box 2255, Batesville, AR. 72503, or make an online contribution by going to our website (stpaulsbatesville.org) and by following the link to make a contribution. You may also set up automatic payments through your bank’s Bill Pay service.
